I am talking about my friend here that he praises Musharraf.

Congratulation to all Ex-pats specially because they have waited for so long to hear such good news.

There is one point of concern that may turn around and bite PTI here. Lets be prepared from the start instead of falling victim to another compromised or failed system vulnerable to hackers.

Although, its a good decision by SCP but knowing the dismal state of our Embassies and staff abroad, recent failures of NADRA and ECP, I am 100% sure that SCP shouldn't have mentioned Electronic voting in its verdict to bind ECP to it.

The number one threat to electronic voting from across the globe and its vulnerable electronic link with NADRA in Pakistan is potentially an easy target for foreign and even local hackers. No amount of encryption and secure link can safeguard the usual lack of professionalism and inept management skills of NADRA as well as ECP along with the embassy staff I mentioned earlier.

I am not saying to do away with it completely but have a backup on paper as a record and it should be mandatory to cross check and verify as well as a means to fall back if some similar failure occurs as we saw in election 2018. Bio-metric voting can still be conducted and results must also be compiled on paper and must also be transmitted via usual embassy snail mail system as a cross reference and fail safe backup option.

Lets not get bitten from the same hole again and again.

Hacking can be avoided it is very easy.

I think online will only be for overseas Pakistanis. However if biometric system is adopted for voting inside Pakistan, it will make polling faster as you don't need ink on fingers and also stamping takes time. In fact the results will be compiled in real time as every thumb impression will be registered instantly in the database.... so no counting needed.

Yes. Yes. Yes. Everybody knows the biggest asset Pakistan has is the oversea Pakistani's. We generate more money for Pakistan [check out the remittances] then any industry or business inside Pakistan. Without us the country would come to a stand still. While the corrupt Pakistani leaders, politicians, bureucrats, businessmen send money abroad and stash it in apartments in London or Swiss accounts we send money to Pakistan - at least $20 billion last year. We keep airlines, banks, airports, taxis, housing, restaurent industry etc in Pakistan going by spending our foreign currncy in Pakistan.

In fact we ex-pats if assured of security of our investments could be the biggest source of funding. And frrankly that deserves a bloody right to a vote.

And, Pak folks are very big sources for building mosques, Islamic centers & schools, Muslim cemeteries etc. in the western countries they live!!! The Muslim center in my town, and it's one of the biggest in the North America, was established by the tireless efforts from some Pak folks!!!

And, the Muslim cemetery in my 100 mile radius locality has an Ay-Yildiz (Hilal ve Sitara) on it's gate!!! And, it's their identity dead or alive - including Arabs, Afgans, BD folks etc.!!! How KADR works!!!!!!

If you are referring to shaheed Zia ul Haque, who was killed in joint operation conducted by India, Iran, Israel and US, than this man was an outstanding leader and saved Pakistan from conspiracies of super powers.
Later PPP brought RAW into Pakistan via Iran and than started propaganda against Zia, i seriously hope you are not part of that PPP-RAW anti Zia propaganda type!

Pakistan is closer to UK then China or India. I know northern Pakistan is distant from the sea but why do we not have veg grown in Sindh being exported from Karachi to UK. I should think it would be easy. Grow it few miles from Karachi. Sort it and pack, ship it from Karachi?

It may become easier after CPEC becomes fully operational as the volume of trade will increase multiple times and a lot more and much faster shipping options will be available which would naturally be followed by heavy air traffic so we need to speed up work on Gwader airport as it will be second airport in the country to enable A380s to land. A lot of new businesses will grow and I'm sure someone will think about this business as well. Economic activity is like a chain reaction, new business, new ideas, more money, more ideas.

It was Benazir Bhutto, her secretary, and AQ Khan, who gave centrifuges to Iran and from there on it went to India and Israel and US.
