Goa registers deaths of 245 foreign tourists in 12 years, reveals RTI

Panaji, April 17: We all love Goa, be it foreign or local tourists. The state, irrespective of any season, always witnesses steady flow of tourists from across the globe. However, the tourism industry, the primary source of livelihood for scores of Goa residents, of late is facing a crisis. The large numbers of deaths related to foreign tourists have rocked the coastal state's otherwise vibrant and lively culture. An estimated 245 foreigners have died in Goa in the last 12 years, according to a Right to Information reply accessed by a local activist in support of relatives of several of the deceased, reports Hindustan Times.

When you do drug overdose in ur party and get killed in accidents after party deaths are bound to happen. Goa is one place where foreigners are nearly equal to local population at any time..

In Pakistan only 10 while in 2008 alone militants killed 300 foreign tourists in India. Also no rape of tourists or killed by random people to loot them in Pak.

Chances for foreign tourist being raped and killed in India is 19503% higher then militant killing foreigner in Pakistan. It's just that news like that spread more.

For all your ill wish and propaganda there was 23.5% growth in foreign tourists arrival in April of 2017 over April of 2016. More foreigners come to India in a month than they have come to Pakistan in a decade.

Now coming to the OP, over 4000 British tourists die abroad annually. Considering the amount of tourists pouring in Goa, if there are only 245 foreign tourist death over a period of 12 years, Goa is a damn healthy place to be.

It's true. Goa is a beautiful place, but foreign tourists have to be very careful. Especially women & girls. Gangrape and possibly murder of foreign women in India is much more common in India than you think.

RSS sanghie chaddie criminals' 'holy text' is manusmriti. Manusmriti provides excuses for and even justifies the rape and gangrape of any foreign woman.

The victims may not get justice at all. RSS sanghie chaddies are attempting to take over the judiciary in India.

Foreign women would be well advised to stay away from India, including 'touristy' places like Goa.
