LOL at the hypocrit's feeble excuses. Just admit you justify the double standard on the basis of your hate for the Chinese state and, very likely, the Chinese nation.

LOL at Indian slaves jumping for Anglo master like a monkey!

If America and its butt-boys are upset, that means China is making the right moves. LOL at least we have toilets.

Since we are already convinced about your intellectual capacities or lack of it; you need not prove it over and over again in every thread.

Okay, I just talked with some friend from China. Basically, the reason Gmail is banned is because a recent case where terrorists used Gmail to communicate and recruit. Chinese government requested Google to share the content (similar to how google shared information with US government), but google refused, hence the ban.

Hmm...so we should expect sina.com or baidu.com to hand over emails to the U.S. Government? You know there would be an uproar in China if that happened.

In USA,all domestic or overseas companies should obey the law and regulations of USA.

You really believe that is the way it should be?
If we think somebody is bad please fork over all their Chinese based emails...thank you very much. BTW that includes those on Chinese Government computers.

Frankly speaking,I don't like the way Chinese gov take.Authoritarian government usually look down on personal rights and tend to strong arms to solve problems.

But I don'y like the thinking models of western medias, too.Whenever, whatever things happen, all sword would toward the "evil communist and government".They refuse to cast a glance at the details and thoughts of others,it seems that Chinese policymakers are monster from outer space.Only criticize for criticism.

If you'd like,I try to explain our logic to you,or you can ignore the following words.

As you known, during these years, terrorist activities rise up soon.In China. Our cities and railway stations were attack, hundreds of innocent citizens were killed. And Overseas terrorist organizations such as the east turkistan islamic movement still keep activity. The WUC,which plot the "7.5 event" that cause 175 death and more than 1700 injured,is still supported and subsidized by some force. In March 1st this year,Kunming railway station was attacked, which caused 29 death and more than 130 injured.(PS:The embassy of the US even call it "senseless violence".Some Chinese netizen joke that the 911 event looks like a senseless traffic accident)

From the above information, you can see two points:
1.China has to take more measures to protect us citizens.
2.China and America have estrangement in anti-terrorist.

And then on,we face a serious problem, that Chinese network security department find Gmail is a frequently-used tools of such terrorists to plan terrorist attacks. They inform Google to cooperate with us to forbid such action.

It's nature that Google tends to cooperate with American gov but refuse Chinese gov's request. However,Chinese gov have no deeply cooperation with American gov and we can't share such information to anti-terrorist.

After that,there are three choice:
1.kneel down on Google and take no actions to protect from terrorist attack at all
2.give warning until block it?
3.Start a foreign war as America to fight terrorists.

Of course, they will chose the second one.

Nah, just saying there is a good reason Gmail is banned. Let's leave it at that.

But you now are sliding down a slippery slope.
Theoretically every country overnight could implement this same system.
So the second you step over the border...you can't read your email...because that country banned it because they have zero control over it. Your phone email will be useless.

It isn't as straightforward as you think. There isn't a good answer.

Well, technically the best answer would be for certain states to stop funding global terrorism, but we all know that is a forlorn hope. Yes, it will be absolutely inconvenient not being able to check your email overseas, but national security is always a priority over convenience.
