I like Musharaf and everything, and ive always supported him, but I think hes going to be the same as Zardari and all the other past leaders we've had except for 1 or 2. We need someone different, someone who can stand up for Pakistan and Pakistan's rights, and have more self respect then being sold out for some $$

As a capitalist, Musharaf to me seems by far the most capitalistic, pro business candidate amongst others who has the ability to bring in foreign investments into the country.

I do believe that to reach a decent level of democracy a nation has to pass an invisible threshold. A threshold that I call empowering the middle class to start small businesses and create jobs. What the Chinese (who've embraced free market capitalism) have been able to achieve in the last 20 years has been nothing short of outstanding in terms of economic growth, growth that would have not been possible under a parliamentary democracy. Growth that has taken more than 25 million Chinese out of the poverty line and into the middle class. When a solid middle class comes into existence like its happening in China they would than demand their government for stability and a better economic environment and thus resolve political conflicts in a much more sophisticated step by step procedure which will allow for more self empowerment and new democratic ideas which will than pave way for the kind of democracy that we want.

Socialism only works in countries where the population is not that high like Scandinavian countries, most of Europe, New Zealand and Canada where taking care of your citizens is fairly easy. A Country like Pakistan with a population of over 170 million can't afford things like Universal Healthcare, Free education for all amongst other things.

pakistan was formed on the name of Islam (which is supposed to be a religion) so if you are sick of religion why not move to some other country???

yeah rite without any clue you start blaming a person.He didnt do any of those and what do you think you are mister. you are not the one to decide only Allah is. Unfortunately, you cannot feel the pain of those families whose loved ones are sold by Musharraf. From Lal Masjid to Al Qaeda, allegations on innocent persons cannot make them criminals unless proven in court of law. Did Musharraf allow any of those hundreds of missing people any access to the courts??? no!! when he is walking smiling and staying safe in USA it shows that whose puppet he was and for whose interest he sold the half of the nation! Zardari is no different, even worse than him

Terrorism cannot be justified. Whos loved one were sold by musharraf dude if you think that actions against lal masjid and al qaeda are just allegation you are living in denial or if you support them you have an equal part what ever is happening over here whether it is marriot bomb blast or killings in ahmadi place of worship. It is people like you they are still strong.
