Girl allowed to live with friend

THE court of District and Sessions Judge Syed Nasir Ali Shah on Saturday allowed a girl to go with her friend who had filed an application against the girl’s parents for confining her at home.

Earlier, Amna’s parents had filed an application saying that Sofia, the girl’s friend, was keeping her (Amna) at her house against her will. The court then sent a bailiff to Sofia’s house and recovered Amna who told the court that she wanted to live with her friend but her parents wanted her to live with them.

The court then allowed Amna to go with her friend but her parents forcibly took her on which Sofia filed a habeas application against Amna’s parents. The court then ordered Amna’s father, Abdul Rashid, to bring his daughter to the court on Saturday. Meanwhile, Sofia filed another application against Amna’s parents saying Abdul Rashid and his family members were threatening her. The case was disposed off after it received assurances from Amna’s parents.
