Well Afghanistan can never agree on the Line publicly, But it may be an unofficial possibility in the the state of mind in the political atmosphere as long as it brings prosperity with it.

I believe that the line is not a priority for Ashraf Ghani, and the issue will be discussed on the community level and not political level.

Believe me, accepting the line will immensely help in stabilizing Afghanistan.

Give dual citizenship, give special cards for people who want to straddle the border.

But for God's sakes let's move to 21st century


For how long would we live in the stone ages? How long.

Let's become uptodate in our concept of nations.

Who knows this may bring an economic union between us.

And who told you that this guy Ashraf Ghani is any better than Karzai, he has worked under Karzai so he is a tout of Karzai. They are all same. Many in pakistan who are unaware of the ground realities of afghanistan tend to simplify things. I have found Afghan pashtuns more vile towards pakistan compared to Afghan tajiks. The only reason Afghan tajiks of the north are bitter about pakistan is that they are unhappy with pakistani support to pashtun talibans of afghanistan, they see it as ethnical issue. Afghan tajiks want pakistan to not have any favorite "race" or "ethnicity" in afghanistan which they perceive is pashtun for pakistan. I am never able to understand its logic because other than few Ghilzai and Karlani pashtun clans most other pashtuns of afghanistan are big haters of pakistan.

Ghani will focus in the economic aspect, and if successful people will forget matters like the line and hence that it will no longer be a problem.

But if we make it a political topic and want to decide the lines future, then we will create more cause than good, powers on both sides of the border will start to work against our governments.
It is just the best to simple kill the issue with silence and let it be undecided.
