Ghani Closes Window On Pakistan

By helping negotiate b/w all the power players in that war torn country.
By allowing it's citizens free movement into Pakistan and beyond for trade/economic/cultural reasons.
By Providing a back channel b/w Afghan and American officials.
By always providing a lang route to the outside world.

But hey, what can Indians understand about that?

I expect him to hand over Afghanistan to Pakistan. Actually, it is already in Pakistan's hands.

But one thing he can surely do,:o: is stop bickering like an Indian.

are you sure its realli that or just opposite :azn:

look cloeslli sirji its that an unstable afghanistan is a pandoras box of troubles for pakistan as pakistan-afghanistan border is very long porus and practicalli impossible to close and whatever bad things that will be genrated deu to ceos and anarchy in afghanistan will filter into pakistan sooner than you ever imagine and there is nothing your nation can do about it as afghans are practicalli in every part of your nation and society

look at the ground realities most afgahns consider pakistan a root cause of all the suffering caused to afghansiatn and hardships to comman afghan than vice versa and its very very hard if not impossible to change a afghans preconcieved notion for hate and revenge against someone alexender , mughals, british and russians and americans all failed doing that with all the moeny and muscle at their disposal what makes you think you can change them by threatning them :azn:

The power "player" that you created, and please do not fall back on CIA soviet blah blah... We all know how you treated tajik and uzbek mujhahideens of the cold war era.

By allowing it's citizens free movement into Pakistan and beyond for trade/economic/cultural reasons.
What other option did you have, even if you want you could not/cannot seal the borders.

By Providing a back channel b/w Afghan and American officials.
Which afghan officials?
By always providing a lang route to the outside world.
dear, That is not a favor, that is the right of a land locked state, just like we giving you water...

But hey, what can Indians understand about that?
Yupp, comprehension skills were only bestowed upon Pakistanis...Your high horse stands testimony to that.

No matter what, it is being reported that Mr Ghani is a holder of Pakistani I.D? Along with many Afghans who shelter in Pakistan which is a huge Burden on us. So if mr Ghani wants to stop trade close his windows than fine we should accomodate him by making Pakistan Afghani free country. Because Mr Ghani you and your fellows dangling on strings are almost at hells gate and blame it on Pakistan if you must but your bark will seldom bite!

May i ask you what ghani sab should do?? Hand over the country to taliban?? Or declare afgan as a pakistan colony? What do you expect him to do??

Support Pakistan in Zarb-e-Azb mission to eliminate terrorism; foreign-funded TTP .

One thing I learned from living in Turkey was that they were fanatic about domestic security -- an organization like MQM would never have been able to keep a port city like Karachi hostage.

Turkey also caught Abdullah Ocalan -- the leader of PKK on foreign soil and brought him back to face justice in Turkey. I think relentless pressure against Altaf Hussein and Baloch separatist leaders is necessary.

For example Braghamdad Bugti travelled from Kabul to UAE on an Indian passport and applied for his visa from there -- Pakistan should have taken UAE to task for that.

No proof

Weren't senior posters like @Donatello @Horus were saying once Karzai goes and Ghani comes, Afghanistan will be Pakistani proxy once again and ditch India? :o:

It seems, Ghani sahab is way more anti-Pakistani listening to his speeches in the last couple of weeks

So RAW bought Ghani too? Good job I would say. BD/ Nepal/ Sl and Bhutan are already bought. Only thorn left is Pakistan. With our agents in MQM, hope to achieve that too very soon.:taz:

He is being diplomatically political as one should in according to situation. With India already out of picture, there is no way Gani will compromise long-term economical prospect with Pakistan. Unfortunately, Afghanistan being thick-head nation, Gani has no choice, but to sugercoat their egos for the time being.

If you ask MI6, French Intelligence or even the Aussies they all said LET is a proxy of the ISI.

On 23 May 2014, heavily armed militants attacked the Indian consulate in Herat, Afghanistan. The attack occurred a few days before Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, took office. Afghan and United States officials attributed responsibility for the attack to LeT.

Lashkar-e-Tayyiba |

Australian National Security

Now who controls LET? why Lakhi was released? if South Asians do not work together the region will be in flames due to good militants vs bad militants.

In case you haven't read -- this is what he stated in his interview a few months ago.

You mean like Mukti Bhani, LTTE was of India?

"It ain't over 'til the fat lady sings"
The singing won't be over until after the Afghan Taliban settle their leadership question and whether that new leadership (Mullah Mansoor or someone else, the latter unlikely at this point) agrees to restart the peace talks.

The US, China and Pakistan have all got a lot vested in these peace talks, so while the Afghans can be two-faced and rant and rave for domestic consumption, they will have no choice but to come back to the table if the Afghan Taliban decide to restart the talks.
Ghani sab is a good man -- but he cannot ignore the chorus of the Afghan nation asking for Pakistani blood.
That's a bed the Afghans made for themselves, by allowing the NDS to run rampant with the Indians and disseminate poison throughout the Afghan public. Now they have far fewer choices when it comes to public opinion since they have to find support in the well they poisoned themselves.

Well yes true -- but there is so much going on that prediction is not possible.

Agreed

Surprised how can you be agreeing with a RAW-ka-Agentttttt

He's s politician... And catering to domestic audiences... And he knows that it is only Pak that can help him.... And that's what we aim to do,.. A stable Afghanistan is in our interests... Either Ghani bows down to pressure... And gets screwed by Taliban and now former Talib turned IS ... Or he continue working with Pak to find s peaceful solution..

Yes Yes and Yes

the question is which way will Ghani blow.

This isn't prediction, its analysis based on the facts on the ground. The US and Iran have a common (and bigger) regional threat in the form of ISIS trying to make inroads into Afghanistan and Pakistan. Reports of Iranian support for the Taliban against ISIS are making the rounds already. The US, Pakistan and China are backing a negotiated settlement with the Afghan Taliban for the sake of regional stability, economic growth and preventing ISIS from taking hold.

The US is not going to commit to a troop surge and in their recent rants the Afghans have exposed the fact that the ANA is not going to be able to take on the Taliban convincingly, without additional foreign support. The Afghans simply have no choice but to go back to the negotiating table if and when the Taliban decide to restart talks.

I've been able to find common ground with non-Pakistanis in the past..

LTTE had RAW Support in the early days but was banned later, maybe this chap lied? who knows but with enough money you can even get a UK passport if you know the right people.

Well in addition to the chap -- I think the notion that he travelled on an Indian Passport is what western analysts espouse too.

Early or late -- India koi ganga main nahahay how nahin hain.

The mukti bhani committed much worse human rights abuses than the Taliban.

As far as I know the Taliban did not boil people alive nor did they bayonet people alive.
