I think Benny was banned for cheering a normal citizen trying to beat up a Kashmiri separatist indulging in illegal activities in Punjab. While I dont condone violence, terming that activity as religious violence is as bigoted as it gets..

And to clarify, I say illegal activities, as in Punjab IPC is applicable and speeches encouraging secession are illegal as per IPC
