While Stalingrad may be the most famous battle of the Eastern Front in World War II, it was not Germany’s most decisive defeat. The Soviet offensive known as Operation Bagration completely annihilated Army Group Center and collapsed the German front line; in part one of this two-part video, we explore how the Soviets outmaneuvered their German foes and broke through their defenses.

Russian conventional forces therefore, still remains as a nightmare for the NATO and whoever succeeds it. We must discard the so called nuclear deterrents by all mean in any equation between the NATO and Russia.

Don't you think that it was weather that was on Russian side, rather than Russia's might?

It was in summer. Weather is always on both side. If you are smart you will use local weather features, if you are dumb - better do not start the war.

And Russian supply line was also open.

Yes, it is true. The whole occupied Europe worked hard on factories and in the fields to supply Nazi army.
Well, I my opinion, the biggest mistake that Hitler did was sparing Britain, rather than attacking Russia.

This says something like 1940.
I suppose they've opened Second front in 1944, only when they realized Red Army will be soon on the banks of La-Mansh. Nevertheless all Soviet people are grateful for that because it saved may be 1 million of Soviet soldiers.

Stalin could have saved all Russian soldiers. But his bad habit of putting suspicion on everyone got thousands of Russian soldiers killed. A simple 5 men contingent to Belin was sufficient to save all Russians. I mean Hitler was also aware of the situation, and he was also a human. But Stalin always suspected Hitler and from his actions, he signaled Berlin that we are not friends.
