Germany to send 550 More Troops to Mali, Iraq Missions

along with the new 650 soldiers going to Mali we have 330 from a first approval meaning after the 650 troops arrive we will have 980 troops in Mali , 3 C-160 Transport planes and 1 A310 MRTT.

A regiment size force?!

Wow!

. . .
Is Germany capable of such move, I thought the German military is significantly weakened after the last world war?

@Penguin , look at our German boys getting ready to deliver some action. :)

Great initiative from Northern Europe! When will the Dutch do the same, sir? :)

These interventions are what have cause so much disaster within Germany and Europe at large.

Germany, looking at the situation in their country right now, needs troops inside their country to handle the "refugees" who are mass raping their women and killing and plundering everything.

Former glory will not be tolerated. This is one reason why there is NATO.

What is this restrictivist rhetoric for? Its not like a resurgent Germany will be Nazi, my friend. Nazism is dead, but German Nationalism shouldn't be. In fact, i suppose this liberal western notion of Nationalism being equated to radical right wing movement is the problem.

We can see what leftist liberal policies have done for Europe, @Penguin , case in point the 1.2 million refugees that are now in Germany, and the untold hundreds of thousands in France, Italy, and the rest of Europe. Given the porous borders of the European continent.

We have got into missions like the War in Afghanistan, Somalia, Mali, Fighting ISIS

Good. Germany as the 4th largest economy in the world, should do more. Afterall, she is the very backbone of the EU, for God's sake.

Fact is, NATO was founded in part to keep Germany in check, and to keep France and Germany from each others throats.

I'm not sure why you are speaking of leftist liberal policies. Which policies of which countries (it is still the case that European nations are sovereign). And even with all the problems there are, it is still not the case we are doing so poorly. Certainly no compared to many other parts of the world.
