Germany to Pakistan: Terror for political goals unacceptable

@C-D
dont be so sure of that.
china is sensible enough to stay out of such situation.
and do you think after china intervenes russia wouldnt intervene.
oh common that is why india is building strong stratigic relations around the world and dont feel so overconfident of yourself.

I strongly disagree with the bolded part. Ultimately India would be fighting alone if such a conflict occurred. However as you said India is building strong strategic relationships with many other nations. I'm sure this would be a factor to take into account whether it be militarily or politically.

No, you don't. That article merely says you get access to Russian tech

Read what it said, "implicit" defence pact.

We also have the SCO which you guys aren't even a part of...

China-Russian relations go back a long time, and now, in their weakened state, whilst also depending on China to buy their oil/gas, nothing will happen. As you yourself said. :azn:

@bomberstun
it might be wishful thinking or optimism but isnt it same for pakistan expecting china to intervene.

Same way,we can only rely on ourselves.However this"ll put India firmly in the Western camp,which China necessarily won't risk.

Yeah India will then be a proper member of the so-called "Asian NATO"

Cmon dude, Russia is NOT going to intervene, America is NOT going to intervene. We're on our OWN.

Whats the point of saying "India is going to be major power in the future :blah: " if we keep piggybacking on others

And you seriously think that the world will just leave all of the emerging and the actual growing asia to the mercy of china? Have a little faith in your capabilities and relationships and international relationships brother. If China can go to war with India for Pakistan in its quest for "brotherly" glory, why don't you think that world will not help India. Afterall we have as many uncommon things with the world as China has with Pakistan. Don't you think so.

Two of the world leaders pointing their finger in the same week..... Interesting development.:angel:

China intervening in case of an Indian attack is far more credible. However China siding with Pakistan in case of a Pakistani attack on India is highly unlikely.

.
No problem IceCold. :cheers:

I was just stating the facts. Pakistan is by all accounts, China's most valuable ally.

Damn, last time China said something like that was to North Korea. Indiaaaaannnnnnsssssss, man the islaaannnnnddddsssss.

Except that China will not start the war. China is gaining too much from the current economic system to throw it all away.

India already threatened war after the Mumbai attacks of 2008, and India is under constant pressure from the people to do something about what they perceive as "training camps" in Pakistan.

That is where the flash point will be.

I agree with you to an extent (read my above posts). But I think it would better for India if we weren't dependent on others. If we keep thinking that we are alone, we will be better prepared.

Depends what the scenario is.

If India attacks Pakistan, then absolutely we will join in, and the global community will support Pakistan against such an aggressive move by India.

Yeah I read article 9 pretty vague and full of mumbo-jumbo, but what it "implies" is Russia and China will bunch together (against India) if India get's firmly in the Western camp.

And the last time that happened on the western front was...?
