In a phone conservation with China FM Wang Yi, FM of Germany Heiko Mass directly threatens China with consequences if China does not withdraw HK security law.

The steps include:

- fast track visa for HK people

- weapon embargo extended to HK

- refugee visa for HK scientists, journalists, artists

- Suspension of extradition treaty with HK

. . .
The decision maker is Merkel, not him. Germany knew quite well what's happening in HK, and China already deal with Germany behind the scene.
Risky bet. You put the fate in the hand of a single politician. What will you do when Merkel retires next year?

.
LOL look at all these white devils suddenly offering visas to Hong Kong natives LOL

I think China wouldn't mind if a few traitors left Hong Kong and never came back.

Reminds me of BLA and PTM terrorists finding safe havens in Western capitals.

What a clickbait article. These are hardly threats ... none of these measures will impact China, or even Hong Kong, at all.

I think Merkel will have a lot of influence and power over her successor ... a career politician like her does not simply fade away from politics after retiring.

Yep, the worst thing Germany can do 10000km away is to order their business to pull out. This is the maximum extend of their "dire consequences"

nonsense. Germany is not China or Korea that has ruler in place until they die. and if they die their kids follow.

Germany politics is under pressure.
more and more Germans dislike China (no surprise when the Germans note chinese bully Vietnam as hobby). the sentiment of Germany has hardended. Look at the graph:
What happend last year on Oct 25, 2019?
red curve: the percentage that wants more distance to China.
