I wasn't commenting on Turkish/Russian history but rather German/Russian history. How funny some of you blame it all on the US. Did the US order the Blitzkrieg ?

That`s the point, the SPD, or the Left or the greens, they are all in deep love for the Turkey for reasons that I cannot understand. But Merkel isn`t an authorian ruler and she cannot command every aspect of our political life, especially not the opposition.

Times are changing...we did worse to the Russians, they had did worse to us, but we had deserved it, so it`s. But we are not living after WW2 anymore...enemies of the past can be friends of tommorrow. The US had forgiven us, the UK did and the French had forgiven us, too.

You had put Turkey in the same line with Russia, therefore it`s legitimate to take a closer look on your own relationship with Russia. As Georg already mentioned, the last dead russian soldiers were killed by a turkish soldier.

The EU can't go against as it doesn't have unanimity to go against the US.

Yes, they did but it came with some big obligations. Top of the list is you better abide by and support the American geo-political order. And in that order as configured by Washington the biggest evil is Russia, Chinese are future threat and Muslims are a bloody nuisance and NATO is the vehicle of expression for that American order.
