BD needs a reliable supplier of the full range of cutting-edge weapons systems and also someone who is totally independent in their foreign policy.

Germany is without a doubt a Cutting edge weapons developer. Some of the machines that are used to manufacture parts for fighter aircraft like Rafale are made in Germany.

Reliable supplier ? i have doubts about that.
Their Ukraine response (from a European perspective) was pathetic to say the least.

Germany has no ability to make a fighter aircraft by itself.

France can but their weapons technology will soon fall behind the Chinese.

Like I say BD needs China that can provide the full range of conventional weapons systems and is geopolotically indepedent or near enough like the USA is now.

Britain has that capability (including engine design for 6th gens) but they're still doing a joint project with with Italy and Sweden (not the engine part though)

Jet engines is a totally different ball-game.

Germany CANNOT make a competitive engine and so they cannot independently make a figter aircraft.

If they started now, it will take them maybe 50 years till they get to the level of the UK is.

That is the reason the Franco-German fighter will have French core engine tech. Germans will get the low level parts like low-pressure turbine, gearbox etc.

Stop lying, one can claim US space ships also have Chinese parts, what I m talking about is independently manufacturing the whole thing, Germany is a small country, it indeed is impressive in many fields, but it's still far from matching big powers in the world, not even EU, let alone Germany.

Forget about Chinese space products. The issue here is how good or best is the German military weapons technologies. China cannot just emulate German technology just because its total GDP is higher than Germany. German manufacturing technologies have been proven over the last 100years.

I said German technology is good but not in everything, Germany is a small country excelling in certain fields but not across the board, 100 years only means the past , not the future, sustainable technology development depends on money, so money is important cause all development in the end boils down to it.
In most next generation technology, AI, 5G, Super computing....Germany is far behind China, this is the future.
