When Russia left Germany, it did so on the promise that a unified germany would never ever threaten Russia again.

The Russian people suffered apocolyptic damage beyond anyones belief and unprecedented in history (30-50 million casualties) To defeat Nazi Germany. The Russians left Germany in good faith.

Now the Germans want to start killing Russians again? If Berlin gets nuked this time, nobody will shed a tear, and fully deserved. Germany has no right to even look at Russia the wrong way.

100 BLN is no joke, the Germans already have a well equipped and modern mmilitary which implies the 100BLN will truly revolutionize Germany armed forces. Their navy is weak, and if they spend 40BLN on the navy, it would be the strongest in Europe, and airforce, if they spend 25BLN on that it would become the strongest in Europe, and then what about the remaining 35BLN?

it is good to see the germans finally start to pickup the tab for the defence of their country.

judging by what we are seeing in ukraine - focus will be on ground force and airpower for that emergency shot of funding. their naval is a joke - but they have allies who are bettert and it is better to have ground forces and an air arm that is strong in that part of the world first.
