According to German ministry of defence the German Army is growing again after it was scaled down the last decade.

At the moment the German Army recive in average
every week a new tank
every month a new Jet or helicopter
every year a new ship (of a larger size)

in 2018 the German Army recived

13 transport helicopter
10 Eurofigther
more than 100 armored tracked vehicles (72 of them were Puma IFV)

for 2019 the plan is
200 tracked armored figthing vehicles (Leopard 2 A7AV and Puma)
14 Helicopter (Sea Lion)
1X Fregatte F125

101 Leopard 2 A6 and A6M updated to A7AV standart
all Leo2 in service get updated to the same level that all tank crews could exchange vehicles without any extra training.
Leo2 also recive new firecontroll, balistic computer and radio equipment

next to that the personal gear of the soldiers recive a complete update...from new all weather all clima all terrain boots to digital equipment.

The readyness problems of the past are also a focus of improvments...at the moment the Bundeswehr has a readyness of 70% of its equipment.

there isnt any radical upsizing of german military going on, most of it is replacements . Leo 2A7 are replacing older A4 versions

( although i still fail to understand how Britain and France Declaring war on Germany infers into a conclusion that Germany started World War II, Both Soviet union and Germany invaded Poland but war was only imposed on Germany and not Soviet Union and it was the German Counter Attack after war was declared on them that thwarted the Allies across English channel)

the German Eurofigther have the same readyness update and mainteance routine like they have in all other airforce...

This Eurofighter cant flight BS in the press was one article about Germany special ground attack missels of wich Germany has only enough to equip 12 Eurofighter with... the lazzy political left press in Germany simple claimed off all Eurofighter only 12 can fight...and even reduced this number by claiming a handfull... this opened a readyness discussion because everyone was thinking of the 150 or so Eurofighter only 5 can fly... which was utterly crap...
but once a fake news is spread around the social media it is belived to be true...

the german Eurofighter are in the same routine as with all others nations...1/3 is always operational..1/3 is in maintenance and could be operational in short time..1/3 are in upgrade programs

There are no Leo2 A4 in the German Army since 2000.... even the A5 is already phased out.. in Germany u find both version only in tank museums not in service anymore.

Today German Army runs only
Leo2 A6 (introduced in 2001)
Leo2 A6M (introduced 2007)
Leo2 A7 (introduced 2014)
Leo2 A7V (introduced 2019)

March 2019 the political controll of the military budget gave green light to update all A6 and A6M in service to A7V standart...

1. they are gearing up to meet the NATO goals of 2% GDP spending for military...
2. getting one standart version is always better than running 4 different version of one system
3. Germany has cut military spending after the cold war to much... even liberal German Generals claimed with this cost cutting there are only two options... delet the Army complete and safe the money.. or increase spending to bring it back into working conditions... because in the shape the Army was in 2013 it could not fullfill the duty it got by german law to protect the german boarders...
