Geo staging a protest against ISI

Because the law you are so eagerly defending is selective and not universally just.

No, the law is just and fair. The Model Town deaths are being investigated, and so are the allegations of rigging, according to the due processes specified under the law. Just because someone does not agree with the end result does not invalidate the them.

We shall see how your lovely due process work here. If both cases are resolved before next election, you might have a point.

Actually no the court ordered the FIR to be lodged at least one month ago yet the government still didn't do that and as time passes the end result will just become a dream.

May be they will get resolved. May be not. We have to let the system work first. How long has the Missing Person's Case being going on?

Let the system work first? Funny you. It was also working during Zardari's 5 year reign. Was it worth it?

Well, all cases move slowly in Pakistani courts. We all know that.

No they don't. In fact, if you are politically powerful enough or wealthy enough, you can actually manage to throw out all cases pending against you. Remember the infamous NRO?

Sure, the first ever peaceful transfer of civilian authority in Pakistan's history was a worthy landmark.

So is PTI politically powerful enough to do what it wants to do or not?

Yes, transfer from one corrupt government to another. What an achievement, NOT!

So is PTI politically powerful enough to do what it wants to do or not?
It has people's backing and is very popular in Pakistan. No other political party to date has managed to do sit-ins against the ruling elite for that long.

The court already gave the verdict one month ago that FIR should be registered :coffee:

The courts also ordered Geo to be put back on air, and for Missing Persons to be released. When you ignore the courts one day, then you undermine their authority to the point where it might go against you the next day.

See why the rule of law is important in all cases?

Regular elections and transfer of civilian authority are absolutely important.

PTI has done sit-ins before without achieving much. Let us what the end result is with this dharna too.

Haven't I told you? This is exactly the kind of selected justice I am talking about. Court verdicts have no value if law enforcement agencies are biased or selective.

In other words the authority isn't doing its job :coffee:

These sit-ins are not about grabbing power unconstitutionally. PTI's protests against NATO did help against US drone strikes for a while.

Exactly right. Now where is the popular outrage over the other important cases? When people themselves are selective about justice, they will never get it. That is Pakistan.

The sit-ins are absolutely about trying to grab power, let us be clear. And NATO lines are still open. And drones attack when needed. Still.

In other words the authority isn't doing its job :coffee:

The real authorities are doing what they want to do. As always.
