this can be considered a reliable source

why, on what basis? don't necessarily want to disbelieve or believe them but I do want to know how or what sources they have to conclude whatever they did? I keep hearing all communications have been shut off so how does anyone conclude there is widespread HR violations? For example, this report uses a Aug 12th picture and a derivative articled published Oct 7th. So to me it seems like just another person reading something 3rd hand and writing the same, so not really a SOURCE of any info
This is to hoodwink the local Indians and international media, why BJP which is in the center and not opposition not taking Kashmir Pandits to their old Kashmir Lands and help them in settling there again, if there are supposedly lacs of Kashmir Pandits evicted and thousands killed(which is a falsehood) India keeps on repeating to justify the Kashmir annexation, suppression and genocide.
"Over the past 20 years, we estimate that 650 Pandits were killed in the valley," Tickoo says, adding: "The figures of 3,000 to 4,000 killings [as suggested by some Pandit organisations] is propaganda, which we reject."
"Not that 650 is a low number, because even one killing should be not ignored, but we must get the numbers right."

this is a very good question . obviously the central govt cannot just arbitrarily take any property and ask pundits to move into it without first establishing that the said property was originally the pundits' taken over by violence by whoever is enjoying it now. This has been made very difficult due to the double games that local 'leaders' in Kashmir have played in cahoots with the separatists. In any other state within India, the center could have intervened and set things right before long; but Article 370 prevented such corrective action in the past and the prior governments took the short term view.
One of the reasons there is such overwhelming support for removal of the article 370 is that it now removes one of the constraints for ensuring some justice in Kashmir for these people that were driven out of there. Hopefully the rights of pundits are restored soon.
