It will actually; traveling through land gives them a much larger market and it is much less expensive. Almost all incoming goods to China from the Suez, Middle East and Africa will go through Gwadar and Pakistan - while all goods from the Americas, South East Asia and other countries East of China will go to their Eastern ports.

The same way how ancient armies passed through; there are countless natural passes and many tunnels are being constructed as well.

It will enter Gwadar, and smooths through a wide highway surrounded by thousands of facilities and massive markets. Then it enters into China through smooth tunnels or mountain passes.

It's quite obvious that some folks are dying to deny the fact that the center of gravity of the geopolitical power has shifted from the Atlantic to the Pacific.

If those ancient peoples who could have transported elephants, cannons driven by hundreds of Ox and people, hundreds of infantry column and massive supply trains - then I'm sure we can transport oil; especially when both Governments have spent billions of dollars in making the area more suited for trade.

The argument about Chinese population and their industry on eastern side of China is frankly quite silly. CPEC is a trade corridor. Chinese don't live over pacific but they trade their products using sea lines over pacific ocean, which btw is under threat by America and her allies. CPEC will provide an alertnative trade corridor to billion plus nation, irrespective to which part of China they and their industrial infrastructure reside.

That part of the speech will remove all the concerns. I am sure India has no issues over economic development of Pakistan or CPEC if Gwadar is not used for military purposes to block goods routed from Gulf to India, and that is clarified in this speech.

For some weirded reasons the Chinese are maniac about hard work. One of my Chinese professors started the course by saying that he'd rather push a car uphill than drive a car downhill. No wonder I immediately withdrew from that course..

My grandfather who was an army engineer was working with the Chinese on the KK highway, one day they received a message that Mao Zedong has passed away immediately work was halted on Pak side and the team rushed to the Chinese side and said "We just got to know that Leader Mao has passed away we are with you in this moment of grief and the team has decided that we to pay homage won't work today" the Chinese smiled and replied "Thank you for condolences........... my team has decided that they will work double today"
No wonder why Chinese are a super power.

They are robots. My near and dear one worked in PAF kamra and chengdu china on JF17 project. He said that before Chinese came, people used to doze around, taking long breaks, lazy attitude, but when Chinese showed up, that really shock things up and out of embarrassment PAF staff started to do long shifts. Which in turn helped the JF17 project.

You just leave that upto the Chinese. They know what they are doing. They aren't throwing away tens of billions of dollars because they didn't do their homework properly. The Chinese are going to successfully complete this project and secure a path to glory. As a result, Pakistan is going to reap the rewards. That is all you need to know.

Chinese work ethics is an entire topic in itself. There is a reason why the Chinese progressed so rapidly in such a short span of time.

Why else do you think the Americans/Indians are in a rage and opposing this project from the very beginning? It provides China an economic, safe and secure passage and we naturally like that. China will go to any extent to make sure that this passage is successfully competed despite the hurdles and inefficiencies on the Pakistani side. The Pak army has become personally involved to make sure that all goes well. This project means a whole lot to both China and Pakistan. Be rest assured that both China and Pakistan are set to benefit from this JV.
