Featured General Qamar Javed Bajwa to visit Saudi Arabia next week

Saudi going to say Kashmir is ur internal matter, we can not do anything except give u relaxation in loan and oil supply. please stop using our name in ur internal matters and our relation will be remain as it's. This is gonna happen.

The pursuit of national interests is relentless and utterly devoid of personal attributes like deviousness or selfishness, or good and bad. Every country in the world is equally entitled, including Pakistan, Iran and Saudi Arabia, to do whatever serves its own respective national interests, no more and no less. The art of diplomacy is merely to create alignments between national interests that benefit both sides for a period of time, since change is the only constant in international geopolitics.

I foresee Pakistan continuing to forge its own way ahead between the two opposing countries quite well, without taking any one side openly or totally. This will all be smoothed over, until the next situation arises.
I am afraid a begging Pakistan suites every one. Everyone has its own agenda. Our economy need to be revived, how long Pakistan served other's interest and sacrifice its economy. Some bitter decisions needed to bring prosperity. Otherwise, Pakistan can't keep happy everyone and one day it turn into Somalia type...

It is a fact, because of a constant decrease in oil demand, Saudi need more markets. Everyone protect its own national interest. Saudi need India and they planned 100 billion investment in coming years.

Reaping the fruits of a rigged election, leading to an utterly incompetent selection & a country economy in shambles. It was not SMQ, it was Niazi who once drove his friend MBS form the airport to PM House.

Elections have always been managed. Economy is in shambles because they started with $20 billion external deficit and short term loans in billions maturing and then even absorbed Corona shock very well due to good management on both governance and economic management. Now it’s pretty much back on track and on solid basis.

The answer is very simple. As long as Pakistan runs a current account deficit we will be in a begging state.
In order to not rely on foreign loans Pakistan needs a minimum net surplus enough to cover the principal loan repayment + interest on existing loans.
Now ask yourself where w stand bro.

I think it is better for people who don't understand economy to not comment on the subject. I guess your statement is politically motivated.

I absolutely agree. The 2 major reasons in recent times what put Pakistan in external debt trap was the import based economic policy especially from 2016 to 2018, and the 2nd being artificially stabilized rupee which burnt our precious forex.
We have managed to survive the most difficult initial phase but the road is still long and hard.

2nd there should be no doubt that those 3 billion Saudi deposit helped us a great deal in surviving the imminent bankruptcy in 2018. We should be greatful to them for that.

You are right, they helped us, but it has reached the point beyond gratitude, Saudis now want subservience. That is the major issue here.

“The Saudis have asked for another billion dollars to be sent back,” said the president of a private Pakistani bank. People familiar with the matter in Islamabad said the government had resolved to send General Qamar Javed Bajwa, the army chief, to try to smooth over relations with Riyadh.

The Saudi resistance on Kashmir, with Riyadh blocking attempts to get the Mecca-based Organisation of Islamic Cooperation to comment on the issue, was motivated in part by fear of angering India, one of the kingdom’s main trading partners, analysts said.

The Saudi loan to Islamabad was originally due to be repaid in instalments later this year and in 2021, while the deferred oil payment facility was intended to support Pakistan’s external payments position.

“It seems the Saudis didn’t appreciate the persistence of the Pakistanis on Kashmir,” said Arif Rafiq, president of Vizier Consulting. “China is pretty much becoming not just Pakistan’s main option but to some extent only option.”

China immediately lent $1bn to Pakistan following the decision by Saudi Arabia to cut off aid and could potentially offer more, a senior government official said.

“Within hours and not days of Saudi Arabia conveying its demand to Pakistan, China offered to place $1bn with our state bank [central bank],” said a senior government official. “Beijing has proven beyond doubt that they have an ironclad commitment to Pakistan’s future, prosperity and welfare.”
