Australian cricketers reportedly targeted by Indian Premier League franchises with $7.5 million multi-club deals​

Australian cricketers have reportedly been approached by Indian Premier League franchises with multi-club deals worth AU$7.5 million in a move that could redefine international cricket.

According to The Age, IPL conglomerates that have purchased T20 franchises from around the world are actively pursuing Australia’s senior cricketers with lucrative deals to join multiple tournaments.

It marks a significant shift in the cricket landscape, where the world’s best cricketers could soon become dependent on clubs for their primary source of income, rather than their country.

For example, Red Chillies Entertainment, majority stakeholders of the Kolkata Knight Riders, also owns the CPL’s Trinbago Knight Riders, the ILT20’s Abu Dhabi Knight Riders and the newly-founded Los Angeles Knight Riders in Major League Cricket.

The next phase of the IPL revolution involves Australian players, especially those nearing retirement, denying Cricket Australia contracts in favour of high-paying deals with Indian conglomerates, plying their trade in multiple T20 tournaments on a 12-month deals.

After last year’s mind-boggling $9.5 billion broadcast deal, IPL franchises eagerly await to see whether the Board of Control for Cricket will increase the competition’s salary cap, creating a greater incentive for international talent.

Every bat has the ability to hit a ball for a six if swung properly be it Sachin, Dhoni---or anyone else---.

A bolwer can only take 10 wickets in an inning---but the batsmen can make many 100's of runs---that have singles, doubles, fours and occasional 6's as well..

So to tell a batsman that he cannot hit "me" or another bolwer is outrageous---.

Someone with Sachin's caliber plays a ball on its merits---. If he did not hit a six that day---he would hit a six another day---just a matter of time---.
