I wonder ..why couldnt he understand the true nature of sharifs and not anticipate...what is coming for him? Esp after dawn leaks..he should have known tht sharifs could go to any length to save themselves, and play the victim card... Gen Raheel should have taken a firm stand on dawn leaks issue... I think he did not take a strict stand on tht issue, because he did not want to be seen as a conspirator, who wants to derail democracy so he let the sharifs get away with it.. Gen. Raheel did not need to work with Nawaz for 3 years o know him--Gen Raheel had Nawaz's file to study long before Nawaz became the PM---.

For two of his mega blunders---pakistan will pay very heavily---not releasing Nawaz off his duty---but the most damage will come from the after effects of not joining the Yemen Coalition .

Pakistanis don't know it that how good they had it---.

All honorably discharged soldiers get something after retirement---depends on what awards they won---their pensions are good---.

They have great opportunities in working for all the factories that he army has---and nowadays---they in in big demand for security / private security jobs.

Good retd soldiers would be making more money now than they were in service---pak military does not leave anyone behind.

It is unfair in the sense that the media and public are holding Raheel Shareef to a different standard than others. Gen Raheel wasn't perfect, but he was probably one of the best General we had in the last 2 decades or so.
