What's new

GCC Eyeing Egypt in Caliphate Drive

this is good news, and the latest call by the King for the Arabian peninsula to unite as one will add more strength to the Muslim cause.

The sooner this happens the better.

Did you mean to say the Arab cause? I don't see other muslim majority countries joining hands with GCC.

. . .
No the goal is much grander than that. The goal is to create a new world Super-power. As one official says it was not named the GCC because of the Gulf but it is a ban Islamic union it's name is flexible it was only called "Gulf"CC because of the location of the countries involved but as Morocco Jordan and Egypt and more Islamic countries are in the list it will change its name.

Interesting, let's see the outcomes. I sincerely hope all Muslims (or fake muslims) to get along well with all countries including Iran. That's what we must to do. Pakistan is closer to China alliances, and Turkey goes to West/NATO alliances.

All left is these Middle east countries with no choices but GCC is good step, it will take fifty years to become more matures alliances in mutual communication and respect.

Its not about neutrality Gambit. Its about taking a big gamble in the future. Either the US retreats and save whatever it can so that it may live to fight another day or go all out against odds and risk losing much. However the choice is up to the American Empire now. You see Gambit Romans realized this a long time ago and said "Armies run on Gold not weapons" and when you are out of "Gold" you are out of Army. Sure it is not as bad as people here make it sound but we all know it is heading from bad to worse the speed of which is still fluctuating.
We had a recession during the Carter years that bled into the first Raygun administration. I lived through that. I know what long gas lines looked like. We did not retreat then and it would be foolish to believe that we would retreat now. But then again, we do hope that everyone misunderestimate US.

Underestimating your enemy is a sin of war. The US without a doubt has plenty of fight left in it. However others are working out too. And nothing lives forever and no one sets at the top forever. When will that happen no one knows but it surely is closer now than it was 15 years ago...hell 5 years ago even.

And one that the muslims WILL make in this coming 'Clash Of Civilizations'.

Define the Arab cause ?

Arab cause = whatever's in the mind of Arabs, be it fighting Israel or threatening Iran.

Muslim majority countries like BD, Malaysia, Indonesia and Brunei have nothing to do with any of it.

Rome felt the same way when they sent their huge army into the battle of Al-Yarmouk. Persia too did the same thing at the battle of Al-Qadesiyah. I suggest you read up on them.

Difference here is that the US is not alone.

Excellent. Looks like that 'Clash Of Civilizations' idea is not so absurd after all. Let the new Cold War begin.

Why do you think there would be a 'Clash of Civilizations' ? World is going towards a "multi-polar" world. There is no clash. You had your days of sole super power of planet. You maintained this position well over 30+ years...Now enjoy the status of "one of the global/super power" of the world.

Of course it will be. Every alliance have a leader, no matter how nominal, and with it comes risks for said leader. In the previous Cold War, that leader was US. In this next one, it will be US. So who here has the balls to step up against US?

No one. Why would anyone go "against" US? Everyone would go "towards" better future of its own. Thats what US want in the world, right? Remember we are the 'beacon of light' in the world? We want better future for everyone. ;)

Unity among Muslims is always welcome. Only unfortunate thing is they are doing this to counter another muslim country..... !!

You sure live in some Neo-Con world by harping upon the 'Clash of Civilizations' as well as upon conventional wars. We may be getting off-topic but I will still briefly mention that even Iran alone cannot be beaten unless nukes are used, let alone half a dozen countries. You see: Modern wars are much more economic and political wars then, say, they were around WW II: The weaker party can ensure enough destruction of the economy of the enemy and/or cause unacceptable loss in human lives to make the stronger party to think twice.

It is the 3rd parties like China who will be glad to see the Clash of Civilization. The Islamic World--except for the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, have really no deep antipathy against the West.

Back to the topic: The democratic Egypt will be the more it will prosper and find its place in any regional alliance. And a democratic Egypt is also likely to cozy-up to Iran, IMHO.
