What's new

Gaza rockets penetrate Israeli defense system due to Iron Dome malfunction

Actions speak lager then words. Once had already seen Hamas and also Hizbollah , if someone cant stop from entering their territory and fight from behind civilians then he cannot be powerful
I am talking about Egypt and Iran and Jordan and Saudi Arabia and Algeria and secondly if Hamas rockets can reach Tel Aviv and hit and kill their than these countries don't have rockets they have missiles and Saudi Arabia have even Ballistic Missiles bought from China so Israel if mess with these countries can loose half of its population but these countries needs powerful and brave leaders than the cowards which they have right now as their leaders

Saudi Arabia and Iran have a much greater rivalry with each other. Egypt is weak due to revolution, and they use American equipment. Their airforce is also very weak. Jordan has never really been much of a player. Algeria?

Secondly Israel is not messing with any of the countries you mentioned.

Egypt and Iran can be considered a worthy rival for Israel. I am sorry to say this but Saudi and Jordan don't stand a chance....

Egypt is a failed state, this is amazing that Egyptian are more concerned over Gaza than their own problems, and they have A LOT OF PROBLEMS.

Where's your beloved Saudi Arabia when Gazans are being slaughtered like cows to an abbotoir? Where where they in 2009?

"Land and air based missiles than it can really damage Israel"

By what, killing civilians en masse like the counter-part to the Saudis, the extremist Zionist regime in Israel, does in Gaza? The solution is to live together, to promote peace between all races/creeds/sects; not bombing the **** out of each other. Time and time again the Arabs have attacked Israel not because of its foreign policy, not because of its treatment of Palestinians, but because out of anti-Semitism and the propagation of their own interests.

There's a reason why Hamas and Hezbullah are being armed as much as they can, and peace organizations aren't receiving the same amount of tension.

1) Grad rocket does not cost 40$. It costs thousands and many more to bring it to Gaza.
2) 50,000$ is very very small price for saving Israeli citizen life (both Jewish and Arab).

Saving life is priority for us. Thats why infant mortality level in Israel is 4.22 per 1000, while in Iran - 35.78. Infants die in Iran 8.5 times more.

As I sad, the most costy thing in Iron Dome is powerful AESA artillery radar. This thing is very useful in war.

In real war after intercepting rockets fired at protected area Iron Dome will give a signal to 155-mm or MLRS battery and they will wipe out the source of fire.

I am really impressed against Iron Domes engagement capabilities.
Congrats...

Sir I am talking about these modern times by than these countries have pathetic Armed Forces and really bad infrastructure since these wars whole scenario has changed these armed forces are far more well trained more equipped with far better weapons and machines and far better motivated and by the If Hamas rockets can reach Israel main city and kill people their than these countries have missiles and quite good in number and cause Israel lot lot of damage

Where's your beloved Saudi Arabia when Gazans are being slaughtered like cows to an abbotoir? Where where they in 2009?

The only problem is leadership if these countries get those leaders who are ready to take a stance and fight stopping Israel from killing Palestinians will not be a major problem and if Hamas Third grade rockets can reach and kill in Tel Aviv than these countries could damage Israel in far far more deadly way

Even with rocket-busting 'Iron Dome' for protection, fear hits home in Israel

(CNN) -- It's become a daily routine for Israelis living near Gaza: a casual conversation interrupted by an air-raid siren, then a furious rush to find cover, and finally -- if all goes well -- a flash in the sky indicating an incoming rocket has been intercepted.

While Israelis are protected by the relatively new Iron Dome missile interceptor system, it hasn't abated the fear that one of the dozens of rockets fired from Hamas-controlled Gaza into Israel in recent days will strike nearby.

Schools and businesses in southern Israel near the Palestinian territory of Gaza are closed, as Hamas militants and the Israeli military mull their next move.

Just a few miles from Gaza in the southern Israeli city of Ashkelon -- which has been repeatedly targeted by militants in recent days -- Effie and Andi Moradian decided to move their family into their parents' apartment building to protect their three kids from incoming rocket strikes.

"It (has) a safe room, it's got thicker walls and it's more or less blast resistant," explained Effie Moradian.

His two daughters pass the time on their grandparents' sofa, reading books and drawing flowers and colorful butterflies. The monotony is constantly interrupted by the sound of explosions outside. Effie Moradian says it's unclear if the rocket landed or if it was intercepted.

Either way, the fear is the same.

"It's really frightening especially when we're in school and hear a 'boom' and there's bombing," said 11-year-old Shiraz Moradian.

Wedged between a crowded bookcase and the metal door to the apartment's small safe room is pile of cushions and blankets heaped on the floor. That's where all three children will sleep for the foreseeable future.

The Moradians, like many other Israeli families, are taking no chances that their family will be protected by the Iron Dome -- which has shot down approximately half of the nearly 600 rockets that have struck Israel since the conflict began Wednesday.

"We can't go on like this," said Ashkelon Mayor Benny Vaknin, who drives the streets of his city checking on residents. "We have 131,000 people here and 26,000 children. They are constantly under threat."

Rafel Moshe, who was playing backgammon at a pizza place downtown, echoed the mayor's thoughts.

"They don't want peace," said Moshe, speaking of the people in Gaza. "How would you feel if your children were constantly scared?"

The city's residents have experience dealing with how to quickly move to air raid shelters and some, like Moshe, have a "Red Alert" app for their smart phones that tracks rocket attacks.

"We don't want war but there are people all the time shooting at Israel and we are quiet -- we stay quiet -- and the world doesn't see the truth," Moshe said.

And it's not just in southern Israel where nerves are frayed. In Jersualem -- some 50 miles away from Gaza -- sirens went off on a calm Friday evening, startling James Cheatham who sent video to iReport. Cheatham said people ran for safety -- most apartments in Jerusalem are equipped with bomb shelters -- and later, the distant sound of a rocket exploding could be heard.

"You feel very vulnerable and you're really not sure where to go, because you don't know where they will land," he told CNN. "I'm a Christian, so we do a lot of praying."

In Israel's second most populous city, Tel Aviv, life was relatively normal last week as explosions could be heard from the current conflict.

"Tel Aviv is quite in a routine mode. There's no panic, but the streets are half empty," explained Shachar Laudon, who submitted photos to iReport. "Many are in their homes. There is tension over the city and many are confused.

"Many still don't know what to do in case of an attack."

Congrats...

Those colouring remind me of a science-fiction scene I once saw where missiles are intercepted and destroyed. :what:

Without any BVR missiles and mostly US made equipment egyptian airforce is at mercy of Israel and US , dont forget the internal chaos has hit egypt pretty badly they are more concerned now for protecting their own country rather than anyone else ,its same like what is happening in Pakistan .our military is more focused fighting with internal elements rather than what use to be before we were hit by these terrorists . And forget about Saudia Arabia there leaders are more into hate mongering activities against iran and pleasing US rather than being worried about Gaza or israeli offense . it will not create any concern for them even if the whole GAZA is bombed to hell by israel . Pleasing US and bad mouthing against iran somewhat is common b/w Saudia and Israel which ultimately provides a sense of security to Saudia against israel and Us offense atleast on paper.

And dont forget what happened in Arab-Israel war , no matter how large army these arab countries possess or the tech but the reality is these countries are luxury oriented and cant afford the hardships of a full fledge war evident to what happened during their last confrontation with israel

This one UMMAH concept only previals in Pakistan or handful of other muslim countries the rest dont give a damn about it they are more worried about their own comfort zone which is to please US and get the sure-short security of so called peace ,they dont give a damn if either gaza, iran or any other muslim country is bombed to hell. The only thing they can do is call a so called muslim countries conference where the only thing they do is fool around the general public so no one can point there fingers at them .

May it be Pakistan's top leadership or that of other muslim countries (with the exception of few like iran) they have stakes in west so they cant afford to make their masters angry . Getting their masters angry aint gonna work for them. at the end when your own country doesnt have the balls to go against US then why to ask others. They too have zardari's, gillani's, musharraf's. kayani's and nawaz's
