Correct analysis. US has a lot of leverage: Israel is hugely reliant on USA for military aid (constant Iron Dome resupplies, hundreds of mk-84 bombs, maybe Patriot resupplies if the conflict escalates, $40 billion of financial aid etc).

Taliban is not needed. They are very scared of Hamas and Hezbollah and that's why they begged US to intervene since the beginning. US is trying to save their diplomatic efforts with regional nations.
