Sir you have to use anti magnetic tools. These are made from Beryllium Copper. The first thing a Bomb Tech would have to do is identify the type of munition s/he is dealing with, if you can't identify it, you can't handle it.

Secondly with conventional munitions, the Bomb Tech would look to remove the fuse:

The reason the second tech is using water is to prevent a static discharge setting the fuse off as it is removed from the housing.

The other method is to remove the detonator from the main charge: For this xray's would be taken to identify the circuit etc.

Failing that if the operation is too risky, the Bomb Tech will go for a controlled explosion, this involves building a trench around the IED/UXO and blowing it up from a very big distance away:
