What's new

Gaza is victorious

Israel will get a 15 year cease fire if seaport/airport are established. And then the 67 border two state solution will be heavily discussed in the next two months.

Israel in reality shouldn't get anything for committing crimes. Although this is Netanyahu's chance to secure a two state solution and make history. His approval rating has gone down to 32% amongst Israeli's though. And now that he signed this deal off it may go down even more.

Negotiations and deals with give-and-take on both sides are more likely to succeed. I hope that no further hostilities break out from either side.

That is the game plan by the Palestinians and Egypt. There will be no hostilities for a long time. The Palestinians in Gaza would regain their basic rights and even more than before. The two state solution will return to be the headline.

InshaAllah!

I hope that this game plan succeeds.

Indeed the good news, however there should be international peace keeper station in Gaza and total disarmament of Hamas

. .
Congratulations on such a resounding victory!

So what changed in reality?
They accepted the Egyptian proposition which they rejected 1.5 month earlier:

This was the Egyptian proposition from 15 jul 2014 ago:

1) unlimited time cease fire.
2) opening of Gaza's border crossings.
3) talks in Cairo between the sides within two days.

Israel accepted it, Hamas rejected:

Now they accept it and claim super duper victory.

Congrats.

.
When are they not victorious, after each fight where thousands of people die in Gaza Hamas puts up a victory parade

Same with other Arabs in modern history, claim victory even if they lose a war.

To be honest, I really do not care who calls it what. A successful negotiation is one that leaves both sides feel like winning, with a bit of give-and-take, and that results in actual progress on the ground. Both sides will benefit from the peace and that is what counts in my book.

.
It's a good day for Gaza. I hope both Israel and Hamas regain their wits and let people live in harmony hereafter.
No more senseless slaughter of civilians.

.
Celebrations are premature, the talks may fail and the siege may be reintroduced as a result of such a failure. Use of the word victory is also incredibly liberal in my opinion. Israel remains in a commanding and controlling position over Gaza.

Hamas will no longer be able to continue its rocket policy if a deal with Israel is struck, if it does Israel will simply reintroduce the siege claiming it was right in not allowing materials to enter. So how will Hamas, a claimed resistance movement (but in reality a sub-state actor) violently resist the occupation if it knows that doing so will result in Israel reintroducing a siege? Will it have to adopt policies similar to that of Fath which emphasizes diplomacy over violence? Will it be able to stop other resistance movements such in Gaza from using rockets or force against the occupiers when it has historically been unable to do so (2012 ceasefire for example)?

For all the hyperbole and talk of victory, this conflict is still ongoing, a flare up may scupper any deals, as can the Israelis.

Thanks for badmouthing the nation which has mediated for your 'victory'.

.
Israeli's should be happy for peace and further support a seaport/air port for the Gaza Strip and recognize the rights of the Palestinian people in all of Palestine.

Unfortunately, from what I'm reading Israeli's seem to be very pist off that this deal happened.

They accepted the Egyptian proposition which they rejected 1.5 month earlier:

.

You're lying once for the millionth time. Butt hurt clown. You hate peace that much.

...........

Once again deliberately lying.

Palestinian delegation has a unified stance. If the delegation announces it agreed that means it agreed. And now the same exact agreement was always agreed to. The delay was on Israel. Palestinian stance was no different a week ago, Israel's stance now changed.

And Israel was forced to agree. And Israel finally agreed, I guess 2,100 Palestinians killed were enough blood for the bloodthristy Israeli lunatic terrorists.

...........
This was a cease fire, not a truce agreement. Basically Israel killed hundreds of Palestinians and thought they would surrender by calling a unilateral cease fire. Palestinians weren't stupid and refused to agree to more submission/blockade/occupation. Egypt/Israel were shocked the Palestinian Resistance was not crushed. Now Israeli officials are trying to alter the agreement with their own words saying it doesn't discuss many conditions. Oh yes it does, 1 month from now.

So Egypt gave up and presented a proposal(Same one today) which Israel rejected at first and is now accepting:

.......................
Palestinians agree to ceasefire, await Israeli response
A member of the Palestinian delegation confirms that his team has approved the Egyptian proposal for a lasting ceasefire, Ynet reports.

“Right now, we are waiting for the Israeli cabinet to announce that it approves the agreement,” he says.

..................
Israel declines comment on reports of ceasefire
Government spokesman Mark Regev refuses to comment on Palestinian reports of an imminent ceasefire.

Once again you show your true side by hoping the truce will collapse. No it won't, or else it wouldn't have been agreed to. I'm sure Israel has plans to try derailing but it won't work anymore. Israel has tried that three times prior to this. This is final deal with clear agreements.

No matter what you wish for, if you don't care then don't comment. But, don't write a pathetic comment hoping Palestinians remain under occupation.

We all hope for a better future. Hopefully Israel does its part of the agreement so we can have genuine peace and the two state solution much be solved soon.

@Hazzy997 You're really crazy
The arab world again just watch, Syria is devastated and you call this a victory?

If you are satisfied with that, no wonder why you will never win and actually slowly be defeated

Do you see the word hope in there or the word wish anywhere?

This isn't over by a long shot, if you want to claim victory that's up to you. You can celebrate when Gaza has a seaport or an airport or when the siege is lifted, hope it's worth thousand lives. Meanwhile, your land is still occupied, you are nowhere near
victory.

.
indeed GAZA is victorious .

the ppl how spew shyte in here dont realize how hard it is to even breathe when u r under siege .

these innocent ppl are fighting considering the fact that they have extreme problems providing health care , electrecity and other essential needs for even living , let alone fighting one of the most cold-blooded and equipped child-murderers in the world .

so STFU when u have no idea what u r talking abt .

of course palestians have more casualties since the zio cancer bombarded every moving life in gaza , but that does NOT make it a victory for them .

israeli lost the war both in media war and on the ground .

in media , cause they showed their hatred and inhumanity to the world and on the ground cause zioz did'nt sleep one night without fear .

thats enough to call it a victory !!!

mashaallah !!!
