Gang Violence on Hold as Lyari becomes Pakistan’s Football Central

pakistan has no less talent, even areas like liyari which are known for gang wars are nationally famous for good football players, sialkot a small unknown town is internationally famous for football manufacturer

:pakistan:

“My father has always told me to play and not to worry about anything else. He has faith in my game. I am so happy to be able to make a name for myself in football and make my family proud of me,” he says.

this is something found very less in karachi :D

my dream is for Lyari to be like the next Rio de Joneiro for football in the subcontinent

the youth there are very talented based on what i have heard and even observed (albeit briefly)

this can help bring pride and upliftment to troubled areas like Lyari; and move and motivate youth there to stay away from drugs or crime.

so much potential

Why I love the Lyariite footballers over the EPL-fade crazy elites

1. They don't speak English in a fake accent
2. They don't have the money to buy EPL shirts, and
3. They don't have the money to buy fancy football shoes and spikes, and
4. They don't fake football craze to be accepted into a social circle, yet
5. They are good at it and don't play it like sissies

Well you see, the kind of environment i live in, we still play in that fashion, a three yearold Arsenal shirt, sneakers, and an old knicker is how i play my football, the rich are just a drama. I happened to have an argument with one, he had zilch knowledge of football tactics and how to effectively play the game, passing and all, but he thought that if he could do a couple of Round of the world moves, and some tips, he is a very good footballer. The people have been long deprived of facilities for football. I watched a video in GEO showing a former football great for Pakistan, he stands all day in his vegetable shop!

Our government should really be doing something about it, we could be in the midst of playing inernational nations more and more.
