He was one of many unique characters in history....
Whats the point debating his private life....it does-not matter....
His public life is what concerns most....
He was undoubtedly a true patriot and a freedom struggle activist....No doubt abt that.
But when it came to politics he was an utter failure....

I find it silly when people make short sighted judgements.

Besides being leaders , Gandhi, Jinnah, Nehru et all were also humans.

We permit ourselves all sorts of indiscretions but expect our leaders to be Chaste as God himself.

With the benefit of hindsight it is easy to pontificate. These men lived in an era when information sharing wasn't as easy as we know it yet they mobilised masses and stood for what they felt was right. Sure, in so doing they would make mistakes too after all al lot would depend on the inputs they got from their associates.

Lets give them the same level of ' humanity' as we give ourselves.
