Mehrabkooh Mountain in Iran's Lorestan
TEHRAN (Tasnim) - Mehrabkooh is the name of a mountain with interconnected soaring cliffs in Lorestan province, western Iran.
139902221341446020369684.jpg

Mehrabkooh is located 54 kilometers from the city of Nourabad, the capital of Delfan County, and has a height of 2,400 meters above the sea.

This masterpiece of the nature’s great painter has remained largely unknown, even to the local people.

Mehrabkooh, which means “mountain of altars” in Persian language, is called so because of its shape: it’s like the constellation of Gemini; composed of two halves: a small altar and a large one.

Both altar-like parts of the mountain are covered with old fruit trees, such as walnut, sumac, hawthorn, plum, grape, fig, apple and wild pear.

Located in the middle of Zagros Mountains, Lorestan province has an important mountaineering potential; and attracts many tourists thanks to the pleasant nature and numerous waterfalls of the mountain range.

Comet C/2020 F3 NEOWISE sighted over Iran!!!!!

C/2020 F3 (NEOWISE), or Comet NEOWISE, is a retrograde comet with a near-parabolic orbit discovered on March 27, 2020 by the NEOWISE space telescope. It passed closest to the Sun on July 3, 2020 and if it continues to survive perihelion 0.29 AU (43 million km) from the Sun, it is expected to remain visible to the naked eye in July. By June 10, 2020 as the comet was being lost to the glare of the Sun, it was apparent magnitude 7. When the comet entered the field of view of SOHO LASCO C3 on June 22, 2020 the comet had brightened to magnitude 3. As of July, Comet NEOWISE has brightened to magnitude +1, far exceeding the brightness attained by C/2020 F8 (SWAN), and the comet has developed a second tail. One tail is made of dust and the other tail is made of gas. The comet will be less than 20 degrees from the Sun from June 11, 2020 until July 9, 2020. Closest approach to Earth will occur July 23, 2020 at a distance of 0.69 AU (103 million km). This perihelion passage will increase the comet's orbital period from about 4500 years to about 6800 years.

1. Ephemeris of Comet C/2020F3 NEOWISE for the next dawns of July 2020.

Taha Ghouchkanlu:

Comets are one of the most important created factors of life on the Earth. Planets beside proper distance from their sun, having atmosphere with proper density and pressure; must have some organic matters like Hydrogen, Carbon and Oxygen because these are base of genetic tissues of life and comet include abundant supplies of them because most of them consist of dust and water ice that probably bring atoms and other organic molecules to the Earth.
Hyricanian forests in Northern of Iran are one of the oldest creatures surviving from the ice edge and after that expands through Europe and Siberia, you can see both beside.

Taha Ghouchkanlu:

Comet NEOWISE, the marvelous comet that 5 days ago reached to its perihelion (43 million km) to Sun and became visible to the naked eye with spectacular long tail.
You can see this beautiful comet in northeastern horizon before #sunrise and you have 30-40 minutes time to observe it.
Due to notable dust covered in central lran plateau, I had unsuccessful recorded previous nights so I decided to had a trip to more than 2000 meters altitudes location in Hyrcanian forest to capture this brilliant unexpected guset.
The best choice to capture the comets is using tele lenses with high focal length. To capture this subject with ground background the photographer must had notable distance from ground subject to record smaller size subjets and according to focal length to place correctly in filed of view. Because of my selected special geographical location to record this comet with these photogenic trees with tele lens, I couldn't get distance from them because I might flop to valley or gets altitudes so subject will be get out focus so I prefer to use wide lens with 50 mili meters focal length. when I watched my first recored shot I was shocked, the extent of its tail was so outstanding that it covered most of my filed of view.
By passing time, rising this comet closes to sunrise and if this comet be survive and don't be dim we can see it in nightsky.

Comet NEOWISE Through A 150 mm Refracting Telescope

Ali Ebrahimi Seraji:

I took this photo of the comet this morning. It was seen with the naked eye. This HDR photo is a combination of three photos. With the 150 mm refracting telescope, a break with a focal length of 1,200 mm has been prepared. Beautiful eruptions can be seen on both sides of the core.

Fireballs and Comet NEOWISE

mohammadhossein.sharifzadeh:

Hello, I’ve captured the attached photo of a magnificent fireball beside the Comet NEOWISE on July 8th. I was taking a photo sequence of the comet rising over northeast horizon when this bright meteor passed in the sky. The image has been captured from SeQaleh, eastern Iran. I used a full frame camera with a 50mm lens and cropped the original image to make this composition. canon 6d 50mm 5s exposure.
