I am still suprised why have Iran not managed to reverse engineer the PhoeniX missile or the F14 it would be fantastic if they could , because F14 is a very nice plane and with modernized Avionics it would be a great plane

With 36+ years in service, I believe F-14s are closer to retirement in IIAF perhaps around 2018. It is getting very costly to repair and maintain them.
