What's new

G2-Pilot 1mm is an abomination!

Some kids had parkers back in school days, even though it was 50 rs back then, yet out of my reach.
It was expensive when you consider that for the cost of a parker you could build out the whole stationary box.. fountain pens, pencils, sharpeners(the metallic ones) , eraser(even those had fancy brands too), ruler(metal) and even a compass and D.

I forgot how to write with a pen. I can only type these days :laughcry:

Fountain pens were always a messy affair. Specially the cheap ones. I want to buy one of those Montblanc one, but can't convince myself to shell out few hundred dollars for it.

I do have a one but never use it. Frankly the idea is to bring it out to sign important documents coming from the impression of wall street but in today’s age of docusigns and e signatures one rarely needs a pen.

Ahh those hectic days of pens. Would have to prepare different pens for exams and often would face problems. Got better with ballpoint pens. My writing was good but didnt like writing much and happy that moved to keyboard for most writing. For me the best part was the speed with which i could write with a keyboard without caring about looks lolz.

I'm old school. I still find working out math problems with paper and pen to be second nature over using a calculator which is easily more efficient. I guess it's just muscle memory and the nature of habit. I rarely have to use an ink pen at work but even for a rare instance, a shitty pen irks me into rage. I need anger management.

. . .
People are very particular about certain things in their lives. For example bharti nerds are particular about their gpu's. Bangladeshis about lungi sizes and seasoning measurements in their fish. Afghans about length of beard and appropriate measurement of beating their wives. Pakis about 125 configurations. Iranians about cars and length of space to shave in between their unibrows.

For me it's always been about pens as I have very neat handwriting and an awesome signature. In fact, I have often been complimented for my signature as I had practiced it frequently in my youth on the off chance that I became famous. Anyways, today at work my pen died and I had to use the G2- Pilot 1mm.

Holy shit! What a terrible pen. The ink overflows and the size of the font renders my handwriting messy. Who the F came up with this piece of shit?

Do they make special over-sized paper for retards that use this thing?
Boy wait till you discover voice type...you will be really pissed. I can write in many fonts and no need for a pen

It's based on preference. I like to write with a pen. All you nerds talking about e signatures and apps think I have no clue what they are?

Most of you probably own watches even though they are obsolete due to mobaels...

Yeah that Parker used to be a statement of “My dad is richer than yours”
I had "acquired" my nana's parker in 7th grade. It only came out my pencil box for Pakistan Studies class coz the teacher thought he was the greatest gift to mankind (aka Brown Sahib). So I would twirl it in my fingers unnecessarily while he was in class :P
