Future of Pakistan's Indigenous EW & Radar Systems

Conclusions :
The same indigenous COMINT/SIGINT EW system is used on both Helo and trucks.
In 2017 and 2018 parades trucks appears to be same , but a new version of the system appears in 2019 parade , and a even newer version in 2022 parade. Meaning constant development is ongoing in regards to EW.
Additionally in 2017 parade a total of 3 EW vehicles can be seen , all of which are same with exception being the one vehicle (whose img is posted above) and which has a dish which basically differentiates it from the rest. So basically these 3 EW vehicles are the receiver vehicles and there is one additional command vehicle and together they constitute a COMINT system.

The signal setup in Kharian is a good one. A bit of R&D but lots of testing of different systems.

The EW Dte GHQ, NRTC and Signal setups in different cantonments conduct major projects between themselves. Signals officers under go EW training courses home and abroad.

That Mi-17 and Isuzu are just making polarization work in different ways

Though a helo platform is a good step. Next should be drone with inbuilt sensors.

During this clip on a visit to NRTC 2 new different types of Ground surveillance systems can be seen. (total 4 shown in twitter and you tube videos of same event)

Objekt 1

This Surveillance system is equipped with GSR (Ground Surveillance Radar ) , and 2 camera's so possibly FLIR / Day sights .

Objekt 2

This Surveillance system is equipped with 2 cameras , Day & Night sights , lacks a radar , or the radar is yet to be fitted.


Further more in a different version of video on you tube at least 2 more different types GSR's can be seen . see below

Possible EW system​

In addition at the end of video a system mounted on truck is shown but only the cab of truck of truck is shown so it is difficult to find what system that is but as the videos main focus is GSR's & EW systems , so the COAS having shown GSR's in middle of video would likely be showed EW systems next , In addition there is presence of a large box on the truck which is likely not for GSR and is thus a EW system in development .

GIDS is not developing any, GIDS IEWS is actually a EW system developed by PAF being marketed by GIDS and its ready and in serial production.
