you should have easily deciphered the simple marathi, it's 95% hindi! anyway the sign on the lifts says "Lip Bandh Aahe" meaning "Lift bandh hai" meaning "Lift is inoperational". Nothing much funny here except many regional indians with accents like gujjus and marathis and others pronounce Lift as Leep or Lip.
