Fully indigenous BrahMos missile to be rolled out in three years

There you go again. Diverting attention away from the topic to something else ! LOL

We have developed a supersonic cruise missile with the Russians & have developed Avionics,warhead & guidance systems for it.

And we are going to test flight another supersonic one,with range of 1000 km with the experience gained in Brahmos project,about guidance,avionics & our own experience in Ramjets.

So stop trolling.

If India did independently make the guidance and navigation system on the BrahMos, as claimed, then well done to India. If they can master making the propulsion technology for themselves, then that would be a huge step forward in their indigenous missile development program. However, like many outsiders who look upon Indian military developments, any co-development projects India is involved in, with Western nations or Russia, it is still a reasonable assumption that most of the technical input will be from the non-Indian part of the co-venture. India will only start to be taken seriously as an indigenous arms manufacturer when they can show a World class, hi-tech weapons system fully researched, developed and manufactured in India without any outside help, ToT and/or use of foreign made components. Until then, India are going to have to put up with the indigenous paint job jokes, I'm afraid.

Well,we have already developed Ramjet technology(used in Akash SAM) and we are already in the process of developing an another Sipersonic Cruise missile with range of 1000 + kms on our own,indigenously.

It is due for testing in 2014,big achievement right?

OTOH both ISRO & DRDO are going to undertake testing of their scramjet powered hypersonic vehicles in 2014

Thats second in the world,only after USA....!

And AFAIK you can always import weapon components & make weapons,and even export them-If the vendor of that subsystem has no problem.
See how Chinese sold JF-17 s to china,with Russian engine & India exported Dhruv with a French engine to Israel.

You lie like a rug about Indian input on the Brahmos missile because the proof of this is reflected here --> India is the world's Top Arms importer. If India has the capability of producing such missile as Brahmos then she would not be the World's Top Arms Importer !

If pakistan actually have the capability to design a ballistic missile, it would not be difficult for them to develop a satellite launch vehicle.....

India came up with the money but Russians designed it and build it then it was handed over to India for paint job with the label "Made In India". Since India paid for the cost , Indians claim that the missile is actually "indigenous".

How is it indigenous when you designed it with someone else?Or does indigenous here mean you are going to make the product in India?

In terms of design, its not indigenous. But India is trying to manufacture all the components in this missile. Recently, India have master the "high tech" steel needed to build this missile.

In my opinion, this is a waste of resources. No one build every single components any more. But India is still in the maturing process and feel the need to build everything itself to gain confidence. Its like a 5 year old child who must do everything themselves just to prove that he can do it.

Russia does not have any production facilities there. How can u claim it is not made in India. Comeon, it should be made some where. Russia does not use this missile for the very reason that it is not made by them and consider it against there policy to use imported weaponry.
