Full blown RMG violence at Ashulia

By the time, Awami dalals leave office, Bd won't have to worry about workers unrest because there won't be any garments factories left in the country. :)

But people like Iajdani and Eastwatch would comment otherwise.

out of curiosity ,

Other than do nasty things to India and Indians , which is a given considering your views

what is it you want exactly for the government to do ?

Or what do you want your government to do differently

Indians are not only party involved in this unrest but there are american and european elements involved as well. In surface it may look like indians are not involved but there are obvious sign of indian involvement.

Montu Gosh is known indian operative in the country is heavily involved in this and all previous unrest. You will notice Awami regime will not even touch him. This guy has his RAW/indian involvement up to his neck.

In 2004-2005 indian business chamber leaders and business man discouraged EU buyers not to source garments from Bangladesh. And india stand as direct beneficiary of these unrest.

Another name is Asif Saleh, currently working in PMO, is heavily involved in this through european NGOs. This guy is very slippery he does not directly involve himself but operate under shadowy NGO/HR type of org. He has proven record relation with these NGO which europeans used for channeling fund for this type of unrest.

Another angle in this unrest is trade unions are as good as dead in US and EU. These union rackets are desperate to get their monthly due collection base. Having a large and growing worker base these unions chosen to use Bangladeshi workers as their money collection pawn, while they sit in air conditioned room in EU and US.

But, who is paying you to do all this chamchami? Is it RAW or CIA?

Same situation like BDR massacre..... same BNP-Jamaat masterminding unrest in BD to destabilize the govt. Very cheap moves.... lol

Bangladesh losing US garment market to India, China
24 Jun 2010

DHAKA: Bangladesh is losing the US market for garments to India, China, Vietnam and Indonesia, among others, causing concern among exporters.

Citing a recent report of US Commerce Department, exporters say Bangladesh, recording a marginal fall during January-April this year, has witnessed overall negative growth in shipments compared to other Asian competitors.

The report on "US apparel imports from major Asian sources in January-April 2010" shows Bangladesh's apparel shipments saw one per cent decline over the like period of the past year.

The report shows that in January-April, shipments from China grew more than 13 per cent to $6.8 billion, Vietnam 9.6 per cent to $1.7 billion and Indonesia 6.1 per cent to $1.46 billion.

Shipments from India in the period grew by 1.8 per cent to $1.15 billion, Pakistan 8 per cent to $0.4 billion and from Cambodia they grew by 3 per cent to $0.65 billion.

"The post-recession US market appears to be harsh to Bangladesh," a Bangladeshi executive who works for the Dhaka sourcing office of an US importer told New Age.

In the first four months of the current year, Bangladesh's apparel shipments to the US were worth $1.21 billion against the figure of $1.2 billion in the like period of the 2009.

"Sourcing dynamics have been changing a lot in the post-recession market," the executive said. "Convenient contracts and deliveries, more interactive marketing efforts and many other things are influencing the minds of the importers."

Readymade garments and knitwear are Bangladesh's top earners and netted $12 billion in 2009. However, it is also afflicted by political and industrial violence.
