White House knows england is worth less than nothing. The era of colonialism is long over. English colonies have now started outstripping the tiny island. US is keen to engage China, UK now trying to cosy up to China is proof that China has arrived.

Refusing to ally/open up trade with Britain, meanwhile we send many representatives there and pleaded for them to open up to trade/outside world, invane. After our fustration we decided to attack/force them to. Had they cooperated, they would never have been any war and they will probably have learned alot from the west just like Japan did to industrilaise/modernise and be a world power. After the opium war we seized Hong Kong(the Portuguese took Macau) and established our own sphere of influence where other European powers later followed. But no european/foreign power really colonised the whole of China.

The discussion is about USA kicking out england from its coveted place. What has India got to do here? And a developed western country burned for three straight nights due to race riots and a soldier was beheaded in full public view in broad daylight.

Is India poor? Yes. Is India backward? Yes.

But how does that excuse the fact that england is irrelevant in modern world. What can england do? Can england influence in iraq, syria, afghanistan? Can england mediate in the pacific ocean crisis where SEA countries are at each other's throats? Can england resolve the ukraine crisis? Or can england do anything about the ISIS menace? WHAT exactly can england do? You have to hold Uncle Sam's finger to cross the road, without US protection england does not exist. India's poverty or lack of poverty will not change that fact.

It's a beggars mentality. They want something so they beg. Then they feel embarrassed so they stop.this would continue in cycles.
