Is it possible to dethrone the army chief through an official mechanism if all the core commanders jointly or with simple majority feels that he is unable to perform his duties and risking country's safety. Something similar to US constitution 25th amendment where vice president with the help of cabinet can overthrow a president.

In the current frustrated state of mind, I can think of this as the only way of getting rid of this old fart who is a mere pseudo chief and not the real deal. I hope all core commanders realize the severity of the situation and act in the best interest of the state and not just following the ceremonial chain of command.

But I serious doubt that core commanders are that much serious about what is happening in Balochistan or in the country in general. They too belong to the same ilk that Bajwa belongs to

Lol if our generals wanted to then it would have already happened.East Pakistan should never have been part of Pakistan in first place rather a loose union with it's own capital and constitution.but we were too silly to realise it until mid 60s.

I am 32 and have seen and studied enough. And loosing 30 soldiers in our land. 1 daily and yes we are doing great. This denial mode was the very thing which led us to loosing Bangladesh. Even then same stories were being told to us. Until we were told that Army just surrendered.

Again Bangladesh smh....our army surrendered because our own pm zulfi boy tore off polish resolution at UN that guaranteed a ceasefire and our soldiers a safe exit to their locations in east and west Pakistan. With india going back behind its borders..with that we were supposed to get Bangladesh back under a UN mandated peace force returning power to mujib. But this was not intended. The point is we ourselves gave away east Pakistan because mujib who was once a cessionist colluding with indians now wanted to rule the whole east and west wings.Apart from his promises to enter the Russian camp.and ofcourse bhutto wanted to keep alive his politics. Mujib would have ruled both wings with an iron fist declaring bangla as national language and likely solving kashmir issue in indias favor once and for all... having mujib in power was never a solution but accepting polish resolution and ceding away from east wing quietly.
