From Buddhist East Bengal to Islamic Bangladesh

I tagged you in another thread. Muslims never fought Buddhists in Bengal. Khilji attacked odantapur Bihar not nalanda . He was mistaken and thought that the Buddhists monks were Brahmin soldiers.

Read the thread in a neutral mind.

It was Aibak's army who attacked Nalanda, mate.

Brahmin soldiers?? You mean Hindus.

Either ways islamic forces did nothing but destroy pillars of knowledge that existed in these lands for centuries before their religion even existed.

If you want to justify yourself being muslims because of refuting the past, go ahead by all means. But that doesn't change our history. People of my part of the country stick to our own little world of hills and mountains, but religious warfare is not isolated incident. It is a fact that people have to accept.

Aibak's general was khilji. I posted with source from Hindu scholars. Why don't you refute it line by line? It's always a great pleasure to learn.

My bad on the confusion of their roles. I misplaced khilji and Aibak in opposite roles.

It is not about Hindus scholars or muslim scholars but simple facts. Nalanda's destruction was done by their army as the extended their empire.

Do you know how much knowledge was burned down to the ground? Years and years of rich heritage just gone.

All for what? So that a foreign religion could claim 'victory'.

If nalanda was destroyed by Aibak and khilji how could tibbetian emissaries visited nalanda 100 years later? Their experience was well preserved in tibbet. Nowhere they mentioned any Muslim destruction. However they didn't forget to write that two Hindu burnt down a part of Nalanda.

Do you really want to know what killed Nalanda?

Nalanda collected tax from surrounding villages to survive. But after conquest they lost that source and died out.

It's as simple as that. If you pretend to be blind and continue to accuse muslims then my friend you are the one who is communal.

Ah see that is where we come close to debate on who had burned down what.

This is where scholars like Minhaj i Siraj in his account Tabaqat i Nasiri mentions in detail about the ransacking of Nalanda by Aibak's troops and the beheading of monks; the very people who you say they confused with 'brahmin soldiers'.

Nalanda was a university not just for us but also for the Hindus. Is it really so difficult to understand that?

Here. From Nalanda's plaque itself:

It is more important that Nalanda was allowed to operate after the incident (which many believe a mistake from advancing army). How much knowledge was burnt? Not sure buddy, I bet no Einstein was born then yet.

Thats what Sena did to Nalanda. First they declared that all Buddhist are Hindus (of low caste of course). 2nd Nalanda belongs to Hindus.

Einstein credits Indian sources from the beginning to his knowledge and you are asking how much knowledge was burnt. More than 100,000 manuscripts were burnt down according to Tabaqat i Nasiri.

You are again superimposing false facts without understanding what Hindus and Buddhists really are.

So let me explain it to you; we are not religions. We are not mutually exclusive to be categorized as 'either or the other'.

There was no organized sect or religion in those days until colonials came and started putting the column 'religion' in all the forms that people could fill.

The concept of religion comes only from islam and christianity. Before that, marriage, customs, traditions, education and the common knowledge was all intermingled between us.

This is what you are getting wrong since first day. It is not about hindu scholars or muslim scholars; it is about what was the reality.

And Nalanda belongs to the ancient cultures of this land collectively. Its knowledge was not having a trademark on it, which is again an abrahamic concept.

As for your casteism's knowledge, you need to get one thing clear; the rigidity of the Varna system happened only 500-600 years ago and it was never that way here before. It was the economic categorization of those day before rigidities set in at the time I mentioned above.

Research on that a bit please.

I think that some religious extremest hopes that Bangladeshi Muslims will back toward Buddhism, for this purpose they are trying to mutilate the real history. They should become to know that Buddhism was the first religion which stab knife in the abdomen of Hinduism, then Islam, at last Sikhism. They will fail in their purpose.

Check your fact before posting. Tabaqat e Nasiri never mentioned the word " Nalanda "

Nalanda was actually destroyed by Sashanka and no one else.

If Nalanda was for Hindus too why did shashangka destroy it?

Bro, let them revel in their historical distortions so they can feel better about their ancestors. There is no point in trying to have last word with them...they will just bludgeon you with their distortions and falsehoods again and again....its another case of them belonging to a religion that is on the defensive worldwide from every civilisation....so they are simply angry and frustrated at the rising narrative that is increasing worldwide....that exposes their most wretched historical accounts to more and more people (as more neutrals get interested in explaining why such people are like what they are now). To counter this they simply turn everything 180 degrees around and claim total victimhood or total glory everywhere, past, present, future....depending on what suits them.....instead of actual ground evidence.

It is good that swampy mud pit is going to sink over time, taking their basket-case ignorance with them. Wherever they are able to flee to, they will be forced to change there.....so we just need to wait and watch.

Make us look like stupid by refuting our claim instead of consoling each other.

I am curious about how Buddhism could revive herself in modern India as the caste system prevails in Hinduism while Buddhism clearly condemns it.
