A colleague at my work place is an Afghani. We have a lot of discussion on various topics . religion , peace ., safety issues in Afghanistan etc. The sweet part , his family lives in Delhi and run a `dhaba`.
India is not as bad as portrayed in Pak media.
out of the 3 Afghani guys I know , they are more `tolerant` of the few Pakistanis I met. The reason being , I think , they dont want to carry the `burden` of being protector of Muslim faith . Religion is kinda personal to them and they are open for discussion , with facts , rather than downright refuting you like some Pakistanis just coz Holy Quran said so.

True, but unlike illegal bangladeshis that blend in with the local population, these people can be easily identified and caught. If they try anything stupid, we'll capture them and convert them through ghar vapsi. Iraq is an important country which could be a good source of cheap oil for India. I'm not one for sickularism myself, but this must be seen in terms of business and profit. If you just treat them like rubbish and deport them, foreign relations could be affected. I'm not saying let the whole lot of them in, just don't deport the few thousand that have somehow arrived here. Besides, some of these folks are pretty qualified- doctors and all. They pose no threat.
