French army takes delivery of first MMP Medium Range Missile

According a statement released by the DICOD (French Army Press Services) on November 29, 2017, the French army has take delivery of a first batch of 12 firing posts and 50 missiles MMP (Missile Moyenne Portée – Medium-Range Missile). The MMP includes a fifth generation of surface-to-surface missile using fire-and-forget technology.

The program development of the MMP (Missile Moyenne Portée – Medium-Range Missile) was started by the International Defense Company MBDA in collaboration with French Company SAGEM.

I was first trained on the Milan over 3 decades ago. The MMP is a smart evolution.
Lesser volume and weight changes +2 kgs for the missile but minus a clean 10 kgs
for the firing station with tripod and battery all incl., confined space firing, nicer!
Oh! And networked for third party designation, how practical!

Fiber optics works and guiding your missile, almost manually on the MILAN, to a hit
is a big rush to be honest.
