Freed separatist leader Masarat Alam holds anti-India rally in Srinagar, raises Pakistani flag

He doesn't care.

We are caring for him like he's some goody goody saint.

How difficult is it for the army to put a dozen bullets in his body and the body of his immediate 500 supporters?
Kill him and all muslims of the valley.because they will never stop and forget Pakistan.
Ethnic cleansing is your best shot.

BJP lashes out at Swami Agnivesh for leading protest march along with Yaseen Malik in J&K | Zee News
Last Updated: Saturday, April 18, 2015 - 19:19

New Delhi: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Saturday lashed out at social activist Swami Agnivesh for leading a protest march along with JKLF chairman Yaseen Malik in Jammu and Kashmir and questioned his commitment to the nation's integrity.

"If any famous personality shares anything with those who are separatists and seems to be boosting up their morale, it definitely puts a question marks on both his reputation and his commitment to the integrity of nation. ," said BJP spokesperson Sudhanshu Trivedi.

Another BJP spokesperson Sanjay Kaul echoing similar sentiments welcomed the detention of Malik and Swami Agnivesh when they tried to lead a march toward Narbal in central Kashmir's Budgam district where a youth was killed in firing by security forces during a protest.

"I think that decision is correct. What surprises is that people, who have no relationship and no locus standi with regard to the issue at hand, are intending to add more complexity to the issue and are landing up and participating in such demonstrations. I think this needs to be looked at very carefully and if the state has moved to detain these two people then I think that it has done the right thing," he said.

The police took the duo into preventive custody at Maisuma as they attempted to take out a march toward Narbal.

Earlier in the day, the social activist had joined Malik in the 30-hour hunger strike against the proposal to create separate settlements for Kashmiri migrant Pandits.

The separatist leaders have been vehemently opposed to separate townships for Kashmiri Pandits and had even called for a complete shutdown across the valley over the issue.

Tension prevails in Kashmir Valley after teenager dies in firing, two cops held, probe ordered | Zee News

Srinagar: A teenager was shot dead by security forces in the Kashmir Valley on Saturday during a strike called by hardline Hurriyat Conference against the recent killing of two youths in an Army operation in Tral, prompting the authorities to register a murder case and order a magisterial probe.

Two policemen have been arrested in connection with the incident, sources said.

As violence erupted in several parts of the Valley, fuelling tensions further, state police personnel opened fire to disperse protesters at Narbal in Budgam, wounding three, including a 16-year-old boy.

The injured were rushed to a hospital here where Suhail Ahmed Sofi died.

Earlier reports had said the boy was killed in firing by the CRPF.

"Additional Deputy Commissioner has been asked to probe the incident that led to the death of the boy. He has been asked to submit a report within 15 days," District Magistrate Budgam Mir Altaf Ahmad told PTI.

A controversy erupted over the killing of the boy with the police admitting that their personnel had prima facie not followed the standard operating procedure at the time of the incident. Exactly how they violated the SoP was not yet known.

"The preliminary inquiry into the incident indicated that the forces have acted in violation of the laid down Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)," a police spokesman said.

He said a case under Sections 302 (Murder), 147, 149, 341 and 427 RPC has been registered at Magam police station.

"We regret the unfortunate incident and extend our sympathies to the bereaved family," the spokesman said.

The family of the deceased claimed he was detained before being shot.

"Suhail was first detained and asked questions before he was shot dead," Tariq Ahmad Sofi, uncle of the deceased, told reporters at their family residence.

Sofi, quoting eyewitnesses, alleged "Forces took my nephew aside and then shot him point-blank."

The death of the teenager sparked more violence in the area with stone-pelting protesters setting ablaze an abandoned police picket and a tourism hut at Narbal.

Reports of protests were also received from Pattan in Baramulla district and Kupwara town in north Kashmir.

Several separatist leaders including Chairman of the moderate faction of the Hurriyat Mirwaiz Umar Farooq have been put under house arrest as a "preventive" measure. Hardline Hurriyat leader Syed Ali Shah Geelani is already under house arrest since Thursday night.

Mufti is screwing his own govt. and his people.

First he released the criminals and then he allowed them to stir up trouble and now he is trying to douse the fire

Then he foolishly talk about peace with pakistan while Pakistan foreign office talks about support to separatists who undermine Mufiti's own govt.

The whole thing is like a comedy show.

You mean the kashmiri Muslims don't want to provide a safe secure environment for Kashmiri Hindus.

That is already know and comes as no surprise..

Why else would they be driven out. But reality is the GoI is determined to provide the same to the Pandits.

Hes only got a small group of thugs, just family members and moochers etc...not a serious person compared to the others.

Then why are they protesting ? :cheesy:

Leave it to the Hindus to decide where they want to live. No more dictates from the muslims telling them how and where they must live :coffee:

I think the legal point would be this . the properities which belong to Pandits are still in those places. i dont think that pandits will forget those properties. So will the state Government acquire those properties ? This question will come out.

So are they protesting over the law regarding the properties ? :cheesy:

Those property has already been swallowed up by their "muslim neighbours" and protesting "well wishers".

The law of adverse possession will take precedence.

Malik ends 30-hour fast, resolution asks Pandits to return to Valley

Separatist JKLF chief Yasin Malik ended his 30-hour fast to oppose separate Pandit townships on Sunday but a joint resolution asked the displaced population to return to their home and hearth.

Malik had organised a daylong seminar in Srinagar to deliberate upon the Pandit issue and their return. Dozens of separatist leaders and members of the civil society, including religious leaders, presented their viewpoint on the return of Pandits.

The seminar comes in the background of the recent move of the state and the Union governments to procure land for separate "composite townships" in Kashmir, which sparked opposition from the Valley-based mainstream and separatist leaders.

The joint resolution passed on the occasion reiterated that Jammu and Kashmir belongs to all the state subjects irrespective of their caste and creed. "Every state subject who got dislocated from Jammu Kashmir in 1947, 1965, 1971 and 1990 has an inalienable right to settle in any part of the JK with honour, dignity and security," reads the resolution.

It was also resolved unanimously that Pandits, who got dislocated in 1990, should return to their homes and hearths in Kashmir. "They will be welcome to restore the proverbial ethos of Kashmir represented by amity, harmony and brotherhood among the various communities," it said.

It was also resolved that the settlement of Pandits in separate colonies and ghettos in Kashmir is unacceptable to all Kashmiri Muslims, Pandits, Sikhs and Christians. "It will create walls of hatred among the communities here and will erode the age old trust between the communities," read the resolution.

It was resolved that Kashmiri Muslims and Pandits along with other communities should fight together in tandem with each other against the suppression and oppression faced by the people of Kashmir.

"A credible international probe should investigate the reasons and circumstances under which the Pandits got dislocated from Kashmir in 1990 and fix the responsibility for their exit from Kashmir. The said probe may also go into the exact number of the minority community, who got dislocated in 1990," demanded the joint resolution.

So are they protesting over the law regarding the properties ? :cheesy:

We all know the reasons because of which tensions started in Kashmir in 1989 which was linked to Cold war international politics.

Its rather silly to blame it on the cold war. The tension started because some of the muslims in kashmir did not want to live with Hindus. Pakistan only gave them training , support etc. They just used the hate that existed, they did not manufacture the hate.

Proxy war started in Kashmir and Punjab after 1989.
