Well looking at French troops' performance during 20th century, it is allright to say they are not capable fighters. Always needing Americans and Brtish to cover their backs.

In ww1, if it was not up to Russia, British, Italian and American, Germans could have overrun the trenches in a few weeks time. Nazis defeated them in WW2. They lost in Vietnam, USA intervened. They have been defeated by Bedouins in Algeria.

Above all of them, they have legionaires, probably French mothers are too scared to send their own boys.

Then why is it that the word Napolean, is synonymous with brilliant leadership and commanding skills? Why does every history book mentions him? Napolean and Hitler were two of the most brilliant commanders. But they did one common mistake...and that was to attack the Ruskies.
