Guys. What France is doing in Syria ?
Same question could be asked about us Pakistanis and Afghanistan after ejection of Soviets.
The problem is that Syria and others countries are battlefields for East/West new Cold War.
Forget the question about French troops in Syria for one second.
Don’t you think that the real problem of all those countries which are becoming battlefield for both Russia (East block) and USA (west block) is their own people ? I mean Syrians, afghanis, and co ?
Why aren’t they able to propose something valuable and strong enough to build their own states out of this east/west conflict ?
If French don’t go there, someone else will go there. Everyone try to influence for its own interests, as did Pakistan in Afghanistan.
It doesn’t mean that I agree with French policies. But without doubt I can say that everyone who has capabilities to go there, is already their. Some with their military forces, some with their financial capacities. And some with both. Iran, Saudis among others.
Maybe french forces want to set a puppet government... but if they don’t, Russians will continue with the Assad with the help of Iran.
Now tell me as we want some warming relations with Russia, should we support their puppet government in Syria ?
As I said I disagree with french interventions but what will be the situation if we don’t ? the solution should come from the Syrians themselves... but are they capable to bring their own solution ?
I remember I have seen a Syrians refugees family in a station near Paris, they were used to shout « help us fissabililah » for some times.
Then a new family of Syrian refugees came and started to shout same thing...
i let you imagine what happened ? They started to fight each other’s.
