France should have a civil-nuclear accord with Pakistan : French ThinkTank

At this point, I think both Indians and Pakistanis can agree that both nations should be declared official nuclear powers. They're already defacto nuclear powers, and far too important to global security and world peace. The rest of the world has given up on trying to stop them, so why not take the next logical (and best) step? It would also help increase nuclear security within the nations, as they would be a lot less paranoid about foreign nations trying to target their stockpile, thus more willing to put more international standard safeguards.

I have no idea what are you trying to say? I never said that we don't want to sell to India. We'd LOVE to, come buy more and more and return a few billion that we gave you guys in the shape of millions of our jobs.

What I was talking about is the "Indian style" negotiations. You've screwed over the French and have pissed them off. SO bad that they told Modi that if there are no Rafales, no Scorpions either. Modi under an emergency said buy 36. Even that is crazy because the French were after 126. So buying 36 makes no sense looking at the number. But it makes sense as India salvaged the relationship.

Next, the US, you've been talking to us about Apache's and Chinooks and C-17's since 2009!!!!! And now looking at the French, the US realized that this is very Indian style. So to counter that, is to let you know, that hey man, we don't have forever to "keep talking". We are changing the price so if you want to buy it, you have 1 or 2 months. That worked as 30% price rise would mean about a quarter to 300+ million I think. That's a LOT of money!! It's the Indian style negotiations that I was referring to. And I don't even want to talk about the Russians. They feel betrayed and back stabbed!!!!
Knock it of dude, india is not buying nails or ball pins. We are the largest importers( regrettable fact), better ask the russians. India ends up buying a number of different weapon systems from aircraft to artillery. As such if any body screws in one deal they will be taken care of in the next one. Russians are learning it hardway. It wont take much time for india to swing other way.

Americans can mark up the price by 100% and lose the customer. After some time they will be back to the table offering a better deal. It is bloody plain business if vendor does not make profit they wont sell it. If we dont see value we wont buy it.

India is just building political capital with US by buying weapons and opening up sectors for investment.

India imported $1.9bn of military kit from the US last year, making it the biggest foreign buyer of US weapons, according to research from IHS Jane’s.

For France to have a civil nuclear deal with Pakistan the US must give the go.
Enough said.

Oh lord of hate!!! Why did you bless the Indian community the most with such a negative and fukked up product???

- Did you see anywhere in my post where it even remotely felt like I was talking about France being better off working with India? Like Russia was and now they are selling MI's, SAMs and SU-35's to Pakistan? Does this example tells you how the world's changed? When your 60 years strong and the ONLY ally switch sides?

- Did you know that Indian lobby did their best to stop the F-16's block 52 and recently the AH-1Z's to Pakistan? Did you know that the US said eff off and they still sold them to Pakistan?

- Did you know WHY Modi is about to sign off on the Chinook and Apache deal??? :omghaha: :yahoo::usflag:? Its because the US saw what happened to the French with respect to the Rafale deal and it quickly learned how to deal with India.

Instead of wasting ANYMORE time with India in the heli's, the suppliers told India that they are giving India a discounted price, after September 30th, the price will be increased b 30% :usflag:. The result was a hot scramble of Modi, Mr. Duval and a few ministers, now the contract is ready and awaiting Modi's visit to the US. So I feel bad for the french, they needed to JUST raise the prices by like 40% with a timeline attached to it. Rafale's would've been sold at their original quantity like 2 years ago

- So at this point, everything is easy for India but its becoming the same case for Pakistan too. Cash was their main issue and its getting resolved by very quickly. Money talks and bullshiit walks. It certainly put a dent in Russia and India's 60 years of "alliance" if you want to call that. When the French, the Americans, the Russians, etc, can make say $ 5 billion from Pakistan and $ 15 from India......these are still BILLIONS of dollars. So in the eyes of a business, why lose one for the other. So its equally important to work with both, Indians and Pakistanis. Both have and will have plenty of monies due to their economic growth!!

Here's a link telling you the future of Pakistan in terms of buying weapons from the Western and the Eastern countries. Read through, it focuses on two opposite poles, like the US and China. Add Russia France and others too as Russia is already in talks and the French have communicated their wish to sell weapons to the Pakistanis too, including Avionics, Radars, etc for the JFT.

Pakistan has Become the Playing Field for US and Chinese Arms Dealers | New Eastern Outlook
Why does everyone automatically assume I'm from India ?? :what: o_O

Why go on a rampage instead of countering what I said? If anything, it just confirms what you said about money directing national policies. France sees money in India at the moment and that's where they will head.

We are getting excited for no apparent reason. France has not declared a nuclear deal, nor hinted at any desire to build a reactor here. Why all this hullaballoo?

Another blind patriotic post.

What's wrong with a bit of realism in our lives?

We are already making nuclear power plants , is there any thing new to discuss here

France economy needs projects and it wants projects and yes we can discuss trade and projects

. .
All he sees is Dollar Signs, all the French see are Dollar Signs!!! They are saying, wait, we could be getting additional money worth a few billions from Pakistan and keep our country going, making progress and keep thousands of jobs producing stuff that Pakistan needs, if we do a deal. So why not?

Like I've said many times on here, these discussions (now open, in front of the public) are a clear sign of shifting strategies across the globe on Pakistan. The Russian news of selling MI heli's and now negotiating SU-35 was a huge sign of this same shift in policies of all major weapons manufacturers.
Pakistanis only work when cornered, isolated and our *** is on fire. Such foreign "help" and collaboration only makes us lazy and even more reliant on foreign help/tech than we already are.
More isolation plz.
