Yes. And European and American companies make money selling their brands in China. China is (or will be soon) the largest consumer market in the world. Most of the recent growth for French luxury brands.......come from sales in China. France and other will tow a narrow line. What happens in the "Indo-Pacific" is not really a direct threat to them.
