France praises Pakistan's role against terrorism

Pakistan and France on Wednesday agreed to further enhance ties in different spheres including trade, economy, defence, education and culture.

The understanding came at a meeting between Foreign Minister Abdullah Hussain Haroon and French Secretary General of Ministry of Foreign Affairs Maurice Gourdault-Montagne in Islamabad on Wednesday.

The foreign minister on the occasion highlighted Pakistan’s achievements in the field of democracy, trade, economy, business, law and order and security environment. He also highlighted efforts aimed at securing peace and stability in the region and neighbourhood.

The French secretary general expressed appreciation for Pakistan’s efforts in combating the menace of terrorism and extremism, and stressed the need for a coordinated international response in this regard.

Are French trying to have free foreign policy ? I don't think so thy are nothing with out America. America will not allow them

Operation Zarb e azab is a commendable job for Pakistan towards their citizens but to contain India and to ensure Afghanistan and India are not getting too close Pakistan Military has not changed their policy much. The recent US decision to hault military and other aid is a fresh example and also putting Pakistan on Watch list for Freedom of Religion act shows her attitude towards other religions other than islam.

I think French praise does not garner much attention until and unless NATO chief (USA) is not satisfied with what Pakistan is doing to combat Militancy

Praise!!! damn, they forget that we were a progressive nation when suddenly in 1978 West came and to fight out the Soviet union used us.

They sow the seeds of extremism in our society. They are more or less having a sound sleep and even till date those getting killed are our children.


During all those years, while we were busy fighting terrorists, other nations grew and prospered e.g. Bangladesh.
