France Plans to Work With Turkey on Syria 'Road Map'

Aahhh... Vergennes. The thing you propose is also a good idea but for France not for Turkey. Unfortunately we have this mess right next to us.

Wish there was a way to magically move Turkey to the middle of the Atlantic so we can be away from all the bull crap happening in this damned region.

Not such a bad idea... move all others but let Turkey stay where it is. It will be great to see them Arabs and Persians freeze in Antarctica while we enjoy life.

Why is France still pretending to have a say in Syria?

I don't know.... maybe France has some kind of responsibility in creating "multicultural wonderlands" and artificial countries like Syria ?

@Vergennes has the French government ever clarified their stance on YPG, like did they ever adress the obvious links with the PKK?

The French government makes no links between the YPG and the PKK. The latter is still considered as a terrorist organization,however there's no clear position on the YPG,although they were an important partner in the fight against ISIS. Macron while on phone with Erdogan understood the security imperatives of Turkey without any words regarding the Kurdish forces.
