What's new

France - Pakistan , Avionics & possibly Plane deal revival, Post cancellation of MRCA

RAFALES can be a good addition but the problem is price tag and also paf doesnt have enough money other than the funds from jf 17 project.:(

.
Pakistan should not only push for a high discount but also sign an unconditional agreement for the future..and also demand ToT!
Discounts from the French?? TOT? :woot: :omghaha:

What do you think India has been trying to get for the past many years? The French are out and out businessmen! Not like the Chinese who give you JFs at discounted rates, like buy three, get one free! :azn: The French will ring you out to dry. They'll squeeze every drop out of you! Times have changed. Forget what happened in the past.

. .
As per the first post of this thread, Rafale costs 50 million Euros which is roughly 100 million $ dollars. But Egyptians are bugying 24 Rafales for 6 billion $ which makes it 250 million $ a piece. Indians were buying 126 rafales for 12 billion dollars $ which makes it again around 100 million dollars $ a piece. On the other hand, indian member on this forum said, it will cost 9 billion dollars $ for 40 rafales to Pakistan. So what are we missing in all these deals regarding pricing of rafale.

Furthermore, what has been the performance of rafale in mock exercises against su-30mki, F 16s, F 35s etc.?

. .
RAFALE could potentially fly with Pakistan
Explain please.....

Well Thunder Block 4 , would be nice (None Export) version.
Some French weapons / Package for French (Thunder Block 4)

Also possibility of RAFALE could potentially fly with Pakistan would be a great prospect
Considering , we do have a technological and numerical gap to cover

It really seems Indians just wanted to Analyze various planes and their performance and collect data for their Teja Platform, the amount of Data they collected in 7 years , not only reduced the market value of other nation's planes but also allowed them to work on their own plane

Pakistan Approached France in 2006 for Rafale prospects, if we had started to get planes in 2006 by now we would have had reasonable 40-45 plane force , not to mention avionics package deal for Thunder

Considering we need 190-200 planes , the French - Pakistan , cooperation can help build on the existing partnership the two nations have enjoyed since past 70's

**Note Pakistan is officially largest Operator of French planes

I have posted the same thread of procuring rafales for PAkistan but they banned me for 10 days......!!!!

.
Rafale is a good opportunity for Pakistan.......The numbers don't matter just deal matters and the number of aircraft will gradually increase....Initially Pakistan should go for 24 rafales.......And gradually increase numbers with time.....

Kick backs

If Rafales do come then they would be around 200+ with TOT and local production. This would reduce the overall price as it would make them overcome the issue of break even. Even PAF would be looking for other platforms from the French like Aerial refueling aircraft like the A330. Even the military transport aircraft could supplement the C130's. So what the French are looking at is a deal that would increase far beyond what the Indian deal if it goes through.

.
rafal is good platform and would serve PAF for long but only if bought in numbers. this fighter will fill in the gap of 4.5+ gen in PAF or any other airforce

but then again, china is also offering FC-20P that j-10C, a pretty close contender.

so what is in it for Pakistan and PAF to go for this platform and by the way PAF is eyeing rafal-5. not plain vanilla rafal.

the question is can PAf afford a 15 billion usd deal (just an estimation) for lets say 6 full squadrons over next 10 years.

Didn't Russia offer 36 Su-35?

You should immediately write them an email as wake up call, they've been sleeping for a while now, dont you think?

The initial quote for $10 billion for 126 aircraft. Now the GOI was negotiating 36 aircraft for $9 billion

.
French have washed their hands completely off Pakistani aviation market. I will be surprised if Pakistan makes a big ticket purchase from France even in the distant future.
