France general 'took fighter jet for weekends'

The Alpha is a trainer, not really a fighter jet. My understanding is that it's usual for senior officers in air forces to fly such planes to maintain their flight proficiency requirement. A general can probably choose his own origin and destination and still stay within the rules.

That said, this being France...the two questions that naturally come next are, "Did the general fly accompanied by his mistress? If so, who is she?"

You haven't smoked anything, right?

Is it typical Chinese to pass a judgement before the Investigation is completed?
Whether a violation has occured or not is depending on the rules.

Don't accuse the Chinese member. He didn't write the news article.

To hell with the plane. Just want to know who(she) sat on the cock pit?:D

This joke isn't funny. Especially if the joker is an Indian.

You have no clue what his contract says.
This means that you have the mentality of an ill-disciplined lynch mob member.

I think you are confusing him with your Indian friends who go around lynching people from different faiths.

“Information on the improper use of air force resources by a senior military officer has come to the attention of the minister,” the defence ministry in Paris said on Tuesday, announcing a full inquiry into the allegations.

The inquiry will “clarify the facts and verify the circumstances of such use, both in this case and generally”, and allow the defence minister, Florence Parly, to “draw the necessary conclusions, including those of a disciplinary nature”, the ministry said in a statement.

This.

It is one flight per month, which is not a lot.
If they should fly at all, they probably should fly more.
I believe pilots like to fly, so if they are considered for a high ranking position,
they would make sure that flying was included.

To be honest I havent heard of such benefits even in Pakistan Air Force...If such things are allowed then there can be further abuse of taxpayers money... This guy already cost the French Air Force more than 120,000 Euros...
